  1. past year dealers aint sold the full target new car sales are 20% down........................ thats 20% less used stock so same number of dealers are after smaller numbers of stock, Ad to that larger pitches with stocking plans they are almost forced to pay "whatever" price to keep there business model workable, Additionally everyone who is not in the trade seems to be in the trade you have a look at the taxis the builders the plumbers down your local auction house, These guys work for beer tokens £100-£200 is all they scrap for, no tax no prep no warranty ect, Loads of eastern Europeans are also there too being gangster paying no taxes no VAT its depressing as Legit businesses are having to pay more than these undeclared hustlers are paying The price range you are at is also where mot in trade would be, "price range" cars get them in and out.............. start again I have also found is seriously hard the last 4 weeks to buy good stock sensible prices everything is way over clean and its just suicide to bid against those people, I use the same places as you have mentioned,
  2. I use them exclusively, I have found them to fair and reasonable, Also on occasion flexible when pushed by me to cover component parts in grey areas for cover, They are cheap but i would not say cheapest
  3. its according if you are a buyer or a seller< The same person buying your car has a different attitude towards service history on the car he is chopping in and the one he is purchasing seller car.................. 100 k car 2 services last at 99k ............... he will argue its a full history car he is buying ................100k car serviced services 7 times annually....................... he will bloody well argue its not a full history

  10. Must be a Post code thing then, In Wolverhampton its just Loads of glitter welded to any upholstery it contacts with, A few dodgy 80-90`s CD, Low value coins, parking slips, hundreds of cars and nothing unusual or embarrassing to previous owner

  15. I forgot my £100 point and shoot Nikon recently when going to take pics, I do it at local park and used my Samsung phone as emergency measure........................the phone pics were stunning in comparison to the supposedly better dedicated camera. learn how to get the best out of the £700 SLR your thinking about or stay as you are
  16. What may be an idea and it is something i am doing, if your car was pictured 4 weeks ago it will be with trees with full leaf, It may be an idea to take some more pics to bring it into line with Autominal conditions so customers believe its just landed, Small very insignificant nonsense point i agree but its these trivial matters that sometimes makes a difference
  17. I have been on there Free service for 3 months and then they called letting me have the premium service for 2 weeks, Based on my experiences they must have a very low market share for people searching for cars, I am and was disappointed but will continue with there free service No quality in inquiry's so far, Single e-mail that gets a fast response from me but nothing further at all it seems to be from the customer
  18. There is a difference between "no ones looking" and prices to high
  19. A retail deal then, That goes down as a sale
  20. This is real world, Its full on, I had 20 yrs in franchise and PLC world, You think you know what your doing, But really you are very protected you are the master of one aspect of a small part of your employers business, Working for your self you are in a working day Salesman, Accountant Valleter, Driver, Admin Complaints ect ect, However there is no way at all i would ever EVER go back to working for someone, 5 yrs on my own and still learning incredible amounts
  21. Sold a Tiguan Sport 4 motion DSG on 12 plate to fella, left a deposit collection this afternoon, Gave him a discount that i would not normally entertain but i like getting rid of high end stock quick as exposure to market prices and depreciation are greater, Plus it was silver i find they sometimes stick Fella calls me up this morning using a competitor car to bully me with a further discount after we have deposits and order forms signed, Its very frustrating and annoying that a customer feels they have so little commitment in the transaction that they feel they can back out of it in a heartbeat, He obviously wanted my car took me as a soft touch given the discount i had negotiated ( i did have £1400 in it ), Considered i was going to bend on every occasion and he was wrong, I cancelled the deal, Told him i do not do dutch auctions and its best i withdraw from this process If they are nightmare before they have brought it they are likely to be more so after delivery experience tells me, I will return his deposit but not in the month of October
