Expected to see thread about No Brexit Deal
Nick M.K. replied to tradegirl's topic in General Dealer Chat
When the economy tanks (even more) you mean? Because it already has a fair bit. We’ll be fiiiiiine. Always have, always will be. At least that’s the narrative I’ve been reading. -

Shall I remove "Black Edition" to appear in more AT searches?

I love having it around. If it sells it will break my heart. -

Approx 50 advert views per day on the listing under Black Edition (with marker Great Price) 30 views per day for the other listing that just says S-Line (no marker but would be Above Market). 2 emails in several days, both for the S-Line listing. Go figure. -
As they say in the movies: Lost me with "2007 Mini Cooper" Full refund + £300 compensation for the customer's trouble + £15 for a replacement dipstick.

I meant maybe a real company name or a location or even just "Hi, my name is Daniel (for example) a dealer from the Midlands and I have a small problem with a customer that I would love some help with..." Even that would've been enough.

Hi, before the other boys and girls chip in would you mind adding a couple of words to introduce yourself and your business first.

Fair Wear n Tear..... How do you define it ?
Nick M.K. replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
Yes there is: the lower the price paid, the higher the age and mileage, the higher the expectations :-) -

Markov. Only pre WWII Bulgarian immigrants spell their surname with two ff-s. For years I worked in Southwark and often crossed Waterloo Bridge where he was killed with the umbrella. If you had such a special umbrella who would you love to point it at? -

Billions? Banks have already moved 800 billion worth of assets to Germany, when you count everything, when the music stops if will cost trillions. Will only take us 15-20 years to make it back. I’ll be 60 by then. -

I couldn’t vote because of the voting rules but would of course have voted to stay. Looks like not only there will be no deal, there will probably be no Brexit at all. Good riddance! -
Why would you pay UK running costs for a UK based business and limit yourself to the small market that is Cyprus. The UK has a huge population in a reasonably small area which makes a nationwide business very viable and easy to run. Why throw all that opportunity away and focus on Cypus??

A used car with many optional extras that costs a little more than a used car with few or no extras is not overpriced. If anything it's a tremendous bargain as the options depreciate faster than the car itself! 50% of buyers don't know this, it's the other 50% that I want to get to.

Absolutely. Buyer would expect as new. Seller would expect as is :-) -

A part or component or consumable which is not new but still does it’s intended job safely enough even though it may be near the end of it’s life. Dirty but usable air filter 2.5mm tyre thread depth exhaust with surface corossion but not punctured 3mm left on brake pads disc lipping almost to minimum disc thickness crackling from radio speakers etc etc -
And just as we are typing I got an email lead! Emailed him the number back and he called!!! Shame that 1) The red car was sold and he is not interested in almost identical black one that I just bought 2) Wanted an automatic and mine both were manual. Didn't see the ad properly. Lead submission from CarGurusContact: First name: alan Surname: crane Email: enquiry_43vwqbh9f@anon.cargurus.com Telephone: (XXXX) XXXXXXX

I have 7 on this plan at the moment out of 16 in stock. Usually I have 4 or 5 but of higher value.
-
I know. On the old forum we thought that it selectively boosts some dealerships with more exposure. As long as you are on the receiving end you should absolutely keep it.
-
One of the many reason I use a number plate displaying my website address on the car photos is that Car Gurus buyers can see the website, easily find the phone number and call. Two sales in two years for me after 6 months on the £225pm paid package.

I While I am no longer with NextGear I can contribute with my current provider's numbers. Close Brothers provides my stocking* at a fixed rate of interest of 3.5% per year. In addition to that I pay £20 "bonnet fee" for every car I add to the plan so if I only have a car on stocking for two-three days (it happens) they make something out of it. The example below is for a 2015 Golf that came in p/x. They will fund auction purchases, private purchases, trade purchases, any source. Close always fund NO MORE than 70% of the car cost for up to 90 days for cars up 10 years old up to 100K miles. The Golf was bought for £8950 of which Close are funding £6160. From 26 Nov until today that car has cost me £45.82 in funding charges. They don't require any capital repayments before the 90 days expire. When sold there are no other fees or anything else to pay. *In exchange for providing that stocking at that price (which I personally consider very low even compared to my business overdraft) Close Brothers want three times the amount of the stocking facility in annual finance business so £150K in my case. They pay me a commission of course.

How long does FCA registration take ??
Nick M.K. replied to Blenheim Car Sales's topic in General Dealer Chat
Yes, a couple of hundred pounds a year, not a huge deal. -
For those who dont touch german cars.......
Nick M.K. replied to Grantlfc81's topic in General Dealer Chat
It could’ve gone that way, sure, but it didn’t. -
Absolutely, I didn't. And it was crucial here. Apologies to the OP, please disregard everything I typed above, do what the pitch guys are suggesting. I am sure you will do well.
