  1. It's not BCA. People have stopped passing on invoices when they sell / part exchange. Digital and Online service histories are putting an end to all of that. If I get a book with multiple stamps from the same dealer I will ring them to verify that they have indeed seen that vehicle and done the work but I won't require copies of the invoices. If a customer wants to double check (as in IF THEY DON'T TRUST ME) they will be invited to ring that dealership themselves at some point between leaving their deposit and collecting the car. If a customer wants copies of service book in WhatsApps or emails before having left me a holding deposit I will usually NOT give out that information.
  2. I agree. Since monthly DD came about selling them is not a huge problem. It’s great to have a car registered just before 23/3/2006 though, the first reg date when £500+ tax can be applied to a car. You put half price road tax all over the advert :-)
  3. Around 10% of the vehicle value per claim. Typically between £700 and £1500.
  4. WBAC don’t need profit on the unit. if they get back what they paid and parent company BCA gets their £300ish buyers fee and they can do that several thousand times in a day it’s a great business model. But WBAC often makes huge profit on the metal also. The beauty of auctions I guess :-)))
  5. Warranty is over & above the consumer rights. Consumer rights only protect the buyer for faults present at the point if sale. Warranty will also cover NEW faults up to a specified period or mileage limit. Give them a £5 warranty, you will not be much more exposed if you do. CCC, pm me your address and I will send you a blank booklet. Have a drink on me instead of sending me that fiver :-)
  6. Is VEMO OE? i always thought they were a budget brand of ECP...
  7. I agree. The only way my comment could be scarier is if it was read in the dark.
  8. The injector that sprays the fluid might be at fault.
  9. Is there a fluid injector in that car that injects eolys fluid to aid DPF burn?
  10. I didn’t know this. Being on a package since 2011 I guess it’s been a while since I last posted PAYG. When I first got a 5+2 package I was so relieved I no longer had to buy exactly the same car to re-use a pre paid PAYG slot :-)))
  11. I applied WEEKS after that when I read on this forum that you had applied a while ago :-)
  12. Out of all the hundreds and sometimes thousands (not often!) of pounds I spend on each car these £5 are by far my best investment in customer satisfaction, customer service, legal cover for the customer AND importantly legal cover for me.
  13. All warranty companies will refuse most claims so all of them pick up bad reputation over time.
  14. I don't know what a basic trade advert is but on my package (it's not premium) I have 2100 Characters. Are you ads pay as you go?
  15. Well if the demand is so high put the price up and MAKE IT more profitable! Steal market share from another manufacturer... 8 units per year allocation, this is not very helpful for their dealer network.
  16. Renewal arrived today, cheque not cashed.
  17. Only 8 for the whole year? Why are Suzuki so tight with the availability. If you had a Ferrari franchise you'd have higher numbers allocated.
  18. Could it possibly be the best £500?
  19. Why do they like them so much???
  20. I use Close for prime. Commission depends on the interest "sellout" flat rate at which you do your deals. Blue pays slightly higher commission than Close. First Response for subprime. Their service is excellent. Subprime commission is as low as 2% but at least you get something.
  21. I have the feeling James will need at least three times as much as Dave would want to pay, plus I don't think Suzukis will set his pulse racing :-)
  22. I've had a poor month with only 5 sales (three of which on a single day early on, one on the following week and one being collected this afternoon) although the margins across the five were great. I was still busy as I bought a few and spent a lot of time prepping them. Going away for a few days on WED so don't really have a chance to improve the month but with so much ready stock I hope for a decent February.
  23. I am sure that someone forward thinking will snap it up James. I recently saw a low mileage one go through BCA. Sold for £6500 at almost 9 years old. The price new was around £14000 and to this day this is the best residual value I've seen on a car that is not a limited edition and not a classic.
