Sorry I didn't see that.
A. Suprised if the warranty would cover a broken bolt.
B. Can't say fairer than that.
In which case it would seem you have done as much as you can.
Personally I don't see how the goodwill gesture would work against you.
Even if she got it fixed herself it would be less than £200.
Was it a WRX? Or just a normal Imprezza?

My amateur legal opinion.
I think the judge will see you sold a car. 10 days later customer reports a fault with her steering. You refuse to help, but offer to buy it back less £130 for mileage, if her Short term Right To Reject had been sucessful you couldn't have charged mileage.
Obviously the poor customer went home and reviewed the offer and decided she still wanted to exercise her legal right to reject but you still refused. Thus leaving her with no other course of action put to pursue through the courts.
Unfortunately I can't offer any advice on actually going to court but if/when the judge orders you to pay a full refund don't forget to ask for the car back!
You never know the judge might have a different opinion.
I wonder how much it would have been to put in a new bolt?

As I read it you weren’t accepting it back under the CRA. You were purchasing the vehicle back.
Again. Has the vehicle been Mot’d since? I would thought it would be impossible to reject a vehicle that they have continued to use.

Did it fail the Mot?

The only person you should be dealing with is your customer.
Not his wife’s uncles cats father in law.
Just the person named on the invoice.
I think he’s done you a favour not taking the paper with a written offer.
You need to contact the buyer directly.

Spend £400 and get 1 sale a month or spend a £1000 and get 10 sales.
Hmm. I know which I want.
-
Personally I think the export is irrelevant.
I would say the sale is governed by the law of the land where the contract was formed.

I've got a similar one.
2.0 Tdi 140. White smoke after a couple of miles Smells horrible when you start it too.
Doesn't use oil or water, I should know been driving it for 12 months.
Replaced injectors, egr, rocker cover. VW have seen it and ruled out turbo. Been to a specialist who replaced a couple of injectors. He then wanted to replace the DPF, main dealer only £1500!!
Thing is it drives perfeclty. Just puts out some light coloured smoke. If you drive it 10 miles and stop the cooling fan will continue to run and once it finishes after a couple of minutes you can drive off and no smoke for 10-15 miles.
I have suspected the smoke is to do with excess fuel as it is trying to regenerate so will see if I can source a used DPF.

Yes. As I said above. Takes up to 6 weeks. Usually less.
They wouldn’t want previous address or anything else from you. Job done.
