That you have 12 cars and have sold 1 over 2 weeks, and I'm somehow expecting to sell with only 5 cars listed.

If others are selling, it means I'm doing something wrong and I can fix it. If pros with more cars are quiet, it's different.

Ok but I'm  a glass half fill type so I see I  have sold 6 over 3 weeks, I don't think if others are selling and you are not necessarily means you are doing anything wrong.

  2. I think the main problem is the colour ( I know you can't do anything about that other than not buy that colour in the first place ), I sold the same car a few month ago it was in a nice metallic red but still took 3 months to sell, I kept it at top wack price the hole time and then it sold easily in the end to the right man who popped up, I think the price is ok BTW but that's just me.

 aren't they called Zafireras now anyway?

My Vauxhall dealer tells me this is all down to cheap EBay resistor packs and Vauxhall have tried to go way and above their duty of care.

Now, they are finding those packs are taking looms and fuseboxes with them and have made a rod for their own backs.

Afterall, when they were new this wasn't news?

I think they have always took a bit of the wiring loom with them, on Corsas as well and to be honest on other makes too.

You gentlemen are right. Just had that this very afternoon. Still, when times are tough, sometimes I wonder if the gamble is worth the risk. Plus having a business partner who has a conflicting mindset to your own makes it harder to stick to your guns.

The gamble is worth the risk, if they want it someone else will want it if need be,  that's the mindset you need.

I don't understand how you gentlemen stay so patient with prices. When it's DEAD dead and you're up against the wall, cars that are nearing a month with no sale/viewing, get prices dropped, and I tread carefully when bargaining so as not to lose a sale. Even if it's less money than I originally wanted. And especially if there's an interesting auction coming up where I can roll my money over. A bird in the hand and all that.

I'm not saying I like this method, I wish I could play hardball. But as a doorstepper and no other income, sometimes I wonder if I could support a family with this job.

You have to show them who's in control here.

  7. The thing that get's me with CG is if the leads are all genuine why do people click on the auto response tab with limited options when I have my number on my photos that they can see and just call me?

Wouldn't buy 1 in but it owes us nothing so worth chucking a bit of money at it especially as the guys had it from new and every receipt and previous MOT and we told we wouldn't take it without a full MOT:)

Tony, I don't mind them so I maybe a buyer if you want to trade it?

Hi, taken in a Hyundai i30 2011 1.6crdi in px yesterday and the clutch biting point is really low and car has only covered 70k no judders vibrations or slipping anybody have any ideas? Thanks

Hi Tony, I have had this problem, near the clutch master cylinder there is a device called a clutch damper it is in the fluid line at the bottom of this unit there is a valve you need to remove this valve and fit a blank in it's place you can use a sump plug to do this although i'm not sure what one to use I just happen'd to have one laying around that did fit, then bleed the clutch and it should be good.

    Is senior member a euphemism?

I can remember when VAT was 15%

Is Artur Daley Arfur Daley’s Polish cousin? I,ll go for Valdek

The same as the floggle-toggle valve setting on a Fiesta .75 Ecoboost, but on the Fiesta you must do it with your left hand.

I can remember when it was 8%, this could be a new competition :-)

    What model Skoda is it , year/ miles/petrol /diesel / model .

David, it's a 2011 Octavia 1.4 petrol manual, always been fine for me, just that when the customer got nearly home the engine light came on, car still running fine, typical when it's a long distance away, if it was nearer I would just pop out and read / sort it myself, Thanks.

I am based in between Cambridge and Peterborough, one of the garages I use is an independent vw / Audi specialist who used to work for the local main dealer.  they are a good, reasonable and honest little garage, if your customer can get the car to the PE27 area I can assist for you if you don't get sorted.

    Cheers A&S
