Some of these so called traders sell some right sh!t, some of the stories I get told are quite unbelievable!

I had one guy come to buy a Kia Sorento off me and the one he'd just been to see had a starting issue, the seller had bodged a can of easy start into the door panel with a tube from the can nozzle end, he'd drilled a hole through the side of the door into the engine bay where the pipe was fed to the air intake, so every time you got in to start the car he said it just needed a couple of squirts and it would start without even opening the engine! Hahahaha

    That's unbelievable!

Yes for sure - no pressure, no customer waiting just my own pride/wallet.

Look at Trade Vet - all this shit we go through now become interesting and funny future stories.

I have never been one to worry about stuff I can’t do anything about - of course, I would rather have taken my bride out for a proper night out but it’s happened and gone into the future story bank.

  3. Last week prior to a viewing on a golf diesel I went and put some fuel in ready for the viewing, customer arrived and when he started the car it cranked a bit before firing up I thought that's odd it usually fires strait up, anyway we went for a test drive and all fine customer happy and leaves a deposit, after he left I went to move the car and it would not start, I was puzzled after a few minutes of brain racking I thought all iv'e done today is put some fuel in pulled out the receipt from my pocket and shit UNLEADED, I had forty eight hours before customer was collecting so drained tank/pipes/filter etc and eventually got it fired up, Wow what a close escape.

  4. Some cars are expensive at auction some are not, this has always been the case and always will be, the trick is buying the ones you can make good money on, they are there, I suppose this means being good at your job.

Rear diff possibly, I’ve changed 2 on coupes innthe lasyvyear, both low ileage. Also this Bmw 2ltr engines make a whiny noise at 2-4K revs, sounds like a high pitch metallic whine and it’s just how they are. Drive it to 40-50 Mph, then put it in neutral and let it coast to a stop. What happens with the noise?

If I do what you say Nick the noise does not alter other than you can hear it slow down with your speed until you come to a stop
