  1. Hi everyone, I have a 2011 BMW 318 2lt petrol with 41k and have a weird noise, when traveling there is a slight constant almost background noise, we have checked all brakes and wheel bearings even had the prop off to check the centre bearing and all seems good, its like a slight wheel bearing noise not a humming noise just a motion noise dose not get very loud when traveling just stays about the same also dose not change when you swing left and right like a wheel bearing fault may do but when you slow down to a stop it slows down with you, any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. Hi everyone, I have a black  with cream leather 11 plate BMW 318 exclusive and the wheels need to be refurbed, not sure weather to go with standard silver or maybe consider doing them grey/black seeing as I need to get them refurbed anyway, your thoughts everyone would be appreciated, Thanks

What are your projected costs for wages and advertising?

These will be your biggest expenses if you are not planning on doing much prep.

To sell that many cars a month how many staff do you think you will need? I’d guess minimum of 6. 3 salesman, 2 dogsbodies to do logistics/cleaning etc and 1 for admin. Assuming you and you partner handle the buying. £10k a month for wages.

60 cars on that website beginning with A. Probably £4K a month

These are just some of the costs. Obviously there is Vat, insurance.

The other issue is you are going to miss out on finance commissions with that stock profile.

Oh by the way. That “ Sale of goods act 2015” you mentioned. You might want to look at that again. I think you need to read it a bit more thoroughly.

Another is www.skyinsure.co.uk temp insurance , gives a day insurance and is easier in some respects to CUVVA as they don't require Apps and pictures .

Takes 5 mins too . Cuvva is good for the younger ones as its App .

Saw this mention this afternoon and later passed the details on to a customer after he viewed my Audi A3, he used it and drove away on the spot, thanks Dave.

  5. Hi everyone, my contract is coming up for renewal with Ebay and I am wondering if that budget would be better spent with CG (instead of the free CG ads), I stock up to 20 cars priced between 3-10k retail, my main advertising is with AT and that does well for me, Never been sure with Ebay but been with them for a few years, my stock is well prepped and I ask and get good money, I never aim to be cheap but prep well and give great service, any thoughts appreciated.

Eh? You’ve sold a car to a woman & are now dealing with a man. Either they’ve had a quick sex change OR you’re pissing away your time dealing with someone who has absolutely nothing to do with this car deal.

This chancer would get no more than a minute of my time, you might as well be dealing with me about the VW Polio as him because we both have the same involvement in this deal.

Not quite to be fair dad is trying to look after is daughter, can't blame him for that.

I've been experimenting with buying a few cars privately recently and have done okay but have missed out on a couple as I couldn't get to them quick enough.

This got me thinking about sending a small deposit to the seller to secure the car until I can get to them, Obviously it would be after I've had a good chat with them on the phone first and satisfied myself that they are all they are saying.

Does anyone else do this? What's the best way to do it and is there a way that I can call the money back if the cars not for me or the seller doesn't stack up and gets a bit awkward?

    Many thanks
