  1. Thought the heat gun was only good for drying primer and sometimes base coat, was going to invest in a heat lamp. But will just try the heat gun now.
  2. You have up to 24 hours to use it once activated.
  3. Pro xl 2k lacquer, I've used with excellent results, obviously expect orange peel as low pressure, but nothing a cut and buff couldn't sort out. 1k paint dries, 2k hardens/cures, so heat gun wood be pointless for clearcoat you would need a short wave heat lamp which would cure paint in 15-20 minutes, or just leave it to harden over a few days depending on weather. Also heard spraymax is quite good as well, but pricey.
  4. Trade plan TFR from Halfords any good?
  5. What titan did you buy the one in the link above? Could you recommend any steam cleaners?
  6. Do these wet and dry hoovers actually extract water from car seats? I heard they weren't for this use and only an extractor like the Karcher puzzi would do a good job. Let me know anyone please.
  7. That sterling cars have some balls of steel, auctioning Bentleys and stuff, he must be doing something near correct because he's been doing it for years. And I definitely relate to your frustration, many people are just so brain dead.
  8. To be honest the lacquer on the front bumper as peel off in a couple places, not sure if that's just a bad repair, or add you say the colour.

  10. I hate even writing the letters DVLA, makes me quiver in disgust!
  11. Citroën C4 He was drink driving as he does, had a very bad accident. Cash is good, but like to show I've spent the money in my books. How do you get round that.. Its already had a smart repair previously on the rear bumper, and the colour match was piss poor.
  12. Just the whole front bumper and sill.
  13. GDPR??? mmmm I wonder if the DVLA are still selling our details to private companies for rip off PCN's.
  14. Hi all, old painter is now in prison, so had to look for a new paint guy. Just been quoted £300-£350... Scuff on bumper corner and paint peeled off in the other corner, deep dent (30cm) and graze on the sill. He was charging me £200 just for the bumper. It's pearlescent paint in dark red /burgundy, he said it's a lot of money for the paint as it's 3 layers of paint and difficult colour to match. Is he having me on or is he about right?
  15. 50p per mile deduction... The average driver does 12,000 miles a year, he's had the car 5 weeks. You get were I'm going, that would be an interesting conversation :))
  16. Yes madam the air con should have been checked before you bought the car.....

  20. Copy of the ad, lawgistics trade invoice, proof of ID and copy of trade insurance. Make it clear in ad you need trade insurance to buy the car. Its perfectly legal, your genuine and your doing nothing wrong. Don't know what all this scare mongering is about.
  21. My painter goes on 3/4 day cocaine benders so unreliable but excellent painter.
  22. Did you rub down with 400/600, paint blend, and clear the whole tailgate, good job. Wasn't there no money in smart repair? Thought they done quite well
