  1. All of the above reminds me why I operate the way I do and only appoint “video viewed””deposit paid” “confirmed buyers”. I have no tolerance for time wasters.
  2. Complete and utter waste of time.
  3. From memory I think it’s the 120bhp 5 speed.... Could be wrong
  4. I haven’t slagged them off, I’ve stated the truth.
  5. Rory, you don’t have any right to tell me to get off my arse and do something, who the frig do you think you are ! You are not in a position to preach to me. I was one of he first to join the IMDA, but my experience with several of founding members (not all) hasn’t been pleasant (which is in the public domain) and I’m not the only one. So I suggest you get off your ass and mind your own patronising business.
  6. Every van I have taken in PX has always sold really quickly (within 10 days) with a healthy margin. I agree with TV, the secret is no VAT.
  7. It had two baby seats in the back, new baby on the way so needed a seven seater
  8. I don’t bother, it’s a used vehicle. Stand back 5 foot and you never notice... it’s nowhere near as good as a proper refurb but it your alloys look shit then it’s a 100% improvement. Workshop primer is thick and with a few coats will do wonders.
  9. Nick I’ve never paid for a wheel refurb:) just buy some Halfords workshop primer £10 and simonize gloss black, you don’t even need to take the wheels off the car, just spray onto the tyres... when dried jet wash the overspray off the tyres... simple Tip... spay the wheels when the car is on grass (no paint on the floor) then lawnmower off for no evidence
  10. It has to be a car by car decision, there is no fast rule. I personally like black because it only costs me the price of a simonize can
  11. I don't doubt that for a minute I certainly wouldn't be threatening legal action over such a small amount of money, you could argue the tyres were quoted as having 40% of tread remaining, thus 40% refund or there about.... You win some and lose some with the Manheim and BCA.... Lets remind ourselves of all the times when the car arrives and it is much better than graded, with new tyres, new brakes, undisclosed spare key, a wallet full service history, service book in the boot....... its "swings and roundabouts".
  12. Newbies, this is what years of experience teaches you. There's money in the bangers !!!
  13. BHM, I'd rather sell it to someone who'll appreciate a cheap prepped up car than an eBay webbed footed mud plugger. GB sticke in the post, last owner for 5 years, been used to ferry the kids, lots of service history with a belt change. Last MOT no advisories. Wait til you see the finished video...... BTW, this car is the result of a PX on a PX on a PX on a PX....... I wonder if there will be another...
  14. Halford's...so I've been robbed already One cracked on application.......
  15. TV, Nicks a good guy we got on well on the old AT forum, helpful and informative with a very good understanding of the CRA.... I admire someone who gets off their ass and builds up a solid business by themselves and does it correctly and ethically.
  16. A clutch is £65, my mechanic is pretty sure it'll solve the issue.. Advertising it with a new clutch just fitted plus a fresh MOT & service will be a great selling point... It owes me £25 for a set of wheel trims so far
  17. Guys, its arrived "project Bravo"...... I'll post up a video showing you its condition....
  18. Your right, it owes me nothing it should be arriving later today so I'll give an update later. There's £££'s in the bangers .... !!
  19. Because, if they can’t afford to buy a banger they certainly can’t afford to maintain it. These are the worst type of customers / pond life.
  20. It’s not a serious fault therefore your customer is ill informed about rejection (she needs politely educating) You have offered full repair even though plugs are a consumable, a failing MAF would also down to its age and fair “wear n tear”. I generally fix anything within 30 days as a gesture of goodwill.
  21. Hi, what is the fault, the car and the price paid ? Full refund in the first 30 days for a serious fault only.
