From the auction house side of things those customers pay over the odds for stock so if anything there the ones they would want at an auction not the dealer hoping to buy anything close to cap

if it was just account holders gold and above rather than the taxi drivers and the £100 flip car idiots then social distancing would be manageable.

I've just read what I posted and I can't see where I said I was concerned. I'm sure you can enlighten me. The car washes can do what they want, it's up to them. If you want to act like the Daily Mail sitting on here all day saying who should be doing what, you carry on. Personally, I am going out and keeping fit, so my immune system is ready to fight off the 'deadly' virus. I'm not sure what powers you think Trading Standards have? It will be interesting to see if anyone gets prosecuted for 'illegal' trading while they are meant to be closed. My local garden centre never closed, perhaps the owner will get a 5 stretch when he goes to court?

Nothing will need changing, many new cars sit for months at a time, we still have access to some new and unused BMW’s registered June 2019. Before you ask the warranty starts from registration date but do check the service countdown is reset if it’s had an early PDI. Some larger fleet dealers are delivering cars but most smaller retail outlets have furloughed staff and would need individual people to do the following to make it happen, PDI, Valet, Invoice, Register / RFL, Hans over. In most cases main dealers are just taking holding deposits on used cars rather than delivering them.

Find it strange they're not delivering new cars yet delivering used ones , personally I would have said they wouldn't have staff in to prepare the new cars , but that would also be the same as used cars unless all their stock is prepped and ready to go so the customer can drive away within the hour .

I know it's a change of subject from the auctions , noticed a few hand carwash buinesses are operating with one claiming to had approval to do so from trading standards and even selling cars from the forcourt which they've been doing for a few weeks now

I forgot about that angle, with that in mind the dealers are the last people they want, apart from maybe the supermarket buyer.

Yes, spot on. Auctions love the ‘wannabe’ types.

I agree. Bca don’t help themselves by charging us to bid online, it should be the other way around!
