I don't quite get this view - If I buy a car using a stocking loan I sure as hell need to be making money on the car otherwise I have stocking charges, auction fee and no profit. I don't think its a case of get a stocking loan, pay fortunes for everything, not sell anything for profit and make a loss on every car. Hardly bought anything cash / loan or otherwise this week. The stuff I shortlist is making crazy money and I have been quite restrained, I feel next week or so things will level out. Fingers crossed anyway. Very low on stock.

£199 depo!?!!! If a punter comes to look at an £800 heap & wants to leave a deposit it take £200 - no discussion, £200 in person or it’s left on sale. They sound like a shower of chancers to me - spend f.a. until you see some more brass.

Paddock Wood used to be the end of the rainbow in a very nice part of Kent/Sussex where people could afford to look after their cars regardless of age. But, that's all changed and they get the same old shit you find everywhere else. P/x's on their last legs, mostly hiding a catastrophic failure, two weeks MOT and no history. The staff are friendly though.

I knew buying would be tough this month, but it's now to take the ****. Thing is, I can't see prices being sensible in Feb either so bugger it, I'm buying a few more shipping containers.

Would be rather evil but fun to get someone you know to book him for a valet or a quote and see what he turns up in! You’d have thought he had a dehumidifier if he’s ‘in the trade’! Whist I agree with the sentiment above about having a look for him, once you’ve done that you’ve opened yourself up. To be honest, I’d probably do the same though. (Even though I get them to sign for major mechanical only warranty). I always tend to help them out (the first time at least) with little moans if they’re polite about it. He might even put some business your way if he’s a valeter to the public -if you do end up getting on with him. positive thinking on a Tuesday! What’s wrong with me! ;0)

I am on E-Bay motors pro, think its about £230+VAT for 50 cars, I get results and not just pondlife, I used to think it was just for cheap stuff but this month I have done a £23k XKR and a £26k Range rover, but I wouldn't want to pay anymore to list on gum tree, they have rung me many times over the years and I have declined so I hope its not something e-bay are going to push on us.
