CCF EDIT HELP REQUIRED LAND ROVER

Hi I'm new here but was wondering if anyone could help me out and disable tpms by editing my ccf file, I have SDD but not the knowhow on how to do it, It's my personal car and its driving me mad I cant find the problem :(

Hi

This is a car dealer forum for guys n gals that at one time used to shift lumps of metal with shiny rubber bits at each corner

We wouldn't know how to ccd your emg even if we had the acd

Sorry

Try looking on the dark web for access to closed by invitation only forums if you know how to fix the hex

Disabling the TPMS in the CCF requires you to enter engineering mode, it cannot be changed in a normal SDD and the dealers are blocked from doing this as well. I believe its a legal requirement to have TPMS active (Type Approval of vehicle).

I have engineering mode but it’s greyed out when I hover over tpms my understanding is that you need to edit it by hex or someone with a genesis/ nanocom login will be able to do it quick and easy through the genesis website

I’m trying to find where the tpms module is now but I’ve had no luck

what are the trouble codes and exact descriptions in SDD please?

Its a fair query....  but this being a trade forum most of us wouldn't disable a safety feature like TPMS.  Too much liability.

When we have had problems wih tpms the problem has been solved with either new bateries or new OE sensors. We found aftermarket sensors to be unreliable.  One thing to note is that phone chargers and the like can cause problems. So remove any non-standard accessories.

IIRC the module is usually under driver's seat or behind front headlining.

It’s a 2014 Range Rover sport 

one trouble code is J_14229_DTC_C1D21- I’ve just had all 4 changed with new genuine tpms from an indy 

and one that’s just developed but went away is U201F-87

I just want to disable it temporarily as it’s very annoying as it comes up every few seconds- would never sell a car with something like this disabled lol 

I’ve put in all new SEnsors from an independent Land Rover specialist and they aren’t working. Before I switched over the sensors I was able to do a tpms test on SDD which allowed me to read the values each tpms was relaying back to the car, it was only the driver front that showed as having 255 psi so I changed that one first but with no luck I then changed all of them and now I can’t even run a tpms test as it tells me to take it for a drive cycle and then return and retry, I’ve done 100+ miles on road testing and I’ve manually inputted the sensor identification numbers in SDD and it was accepted but I still have the warning light... oh and the tyre shop broke off the old sensors so I can’t put them back in lol

Im not an expert on those barges.

 

But both codes relate to a reciever/module programming issue.

I thought SDD guided you through the faults?

For what its worth, i only buy genuine sensors now. Does it need a wake up tool when programming them in?

U201F-87 indicates a receiver fault. But you say its gone away.

C1D21 indicates that the receiver can't see the transmitters...   Here are rectification steps from manual..

Complete a visual inspection to ensure tire pressuresensors are fitted


Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system check datalogger signal 0x4127 -

Number of Tire pressure sensors failed:
If all 4 sensors fail
- Check that the RF receiver is correct part number
- Review potential electrical interference to RF receiver, e.g. charging units, power adaptors, laptop/navigation screens, etc.

If 1-3 sensors fail:
- Identify faulty sensors by using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system and running application - Tire Pressure Monitoring Wheel Sensor Test
- Replace faulty sensors

It certainly is a lot of hassle compared to checking the tyre pressures every now and again with a guage. This also reminds me why I dislike JLR vehicles.... The electrics are temperamental even when new and they don't improve with age.

Can you guys believe that it was dodgy sensors sold by a Land Rover Indy. One sensor was showing faulty so I replaced that one first then when it didn’t work I replaced all of them, and that still didn’t work, switched them with my mates and all of a sudden it worked

I am guessing they were actually non-OE.  As I said above, we have found non-OE to not communicate properly.
