Works fine for me. It shows the little warning triangle like on the Minis etc even for things like low fuel.

You need to have a look on the I drive for control messages. 

As noacross says, most likely low fuel, or temperature low.

Think its low fuel now I have done some more research, under 50 miles range, thank god for that being collected Friday!

Normally relates to the first message that comes up on dash display.

within the I-Drive there is a menu, from memory - vehicle status, - check messages? and it tells you the fault but normally is low fuel range or screenwash.

Seems to have been low fuel or the key fob was low either one its gone now!
