What Colour Wheels Here?

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd start a new topic so everyone can ask for opinions on their wheel colour.  I'll kick it off with this one:

Fiat 500 Cab semi-auto in very pale blue- almost white or grey with red leath. I'll insert a picture if I can work it out

FIAT 500 C LOUNGE - ML59UFA

Cheers- all answers seem to be grey no matter what the car.  I can get my head round that better than black, which I don't get. Old age.. :0)

I had a 500S in white with (what I would call) Graphite wheels - it looked lovely (every day for about 4 months )

We would  tip all the blacks , whites and grey base paints together to make something that looks mid  grey to use on that colour car . Goes with the centres then as well .

Car looks good and it uses all the bits of paints up too :) only costs us £10 for the lacquer then ,

They are little beggars of a wheel to paint though :(

This.

Black is a no on multi spoke wheels imo.

Expensive though to restore OEM diamond cut finish and is likely to corrode again within 12 months.

On textured wheels like this, a decent cheap option is the shadow finish BMW wheels are finished in - black primer & silver paint.

Top off with new wheel centres. Bingo

My provider charges 50% more per wheel for that. I will only consider that spend on cars upwards of £15K retail.

Definitely Diamond cut. Easy to refurb yourself. We do all our own refurbs on diamond cut wheels.

Nope - but we refurb diamond cut alloys to a high standard so that a punter can't tell the difference.

Actually, there are now machines that can do turning on a van, mobile. But as MOTORS says, a good wheel repairer can make them look diamond cut. My chap is very good.

Yeah. That’s what this game is about: finding and retaining good people.

Awesome looking bit of kit that machine-bet it’s a couple of quid at least!

Our painter usually so pissed he can't even do silver properly...had one back in primer today.

I don't know whether it's the fumes or the boozer 10 steps from his yard

My refurber is amazing - all wheels are chemically stripped, repaired and then powder coated - £45 a corner

They also have that machine (or similar) for diamond cut refurb - £65 a corner

Ha. Still can’t insert a picture for the life of me on iPad. Any clever people out there can tell me how to? Picture needs resizing I guess

I have another wheel colour decision to ask the congregation. Although it’s a pale blue met Scooby so I guess the answer will be grey wheels?

On a iPad I just tap “Click to choose files”

Although you are only allowed to upload 0.1mb, whatever that is!

Cheers. I haven’t got a ‘click to chose files’ option?

Or a like and edit button, so I wonder if I’ve lost that also.
