Tom 164 Posted January 21, 2018 This forum is for car dealers Are you a dealer? No other stock and nothing found for ARJ car sales? No mention of any warranty etc?

Mojo121 229 Posted January 22, 2018 As I said on another thread you're just knocking out the odd car here and there del boy style "no income tax no VAT no money back no guarantee". It's not a business. You'll find people are reluctant to hand over nearly 13 bags.
Rory RSC 596 Posted January 22, 2018 Will you take £9.5k for it today?

trade vet 702 Posted January 22, 2018 I am not sure why you guys are giving Arslan a hard time.He has already said he is a student and doing one per month. He is declaring himself as trade on AT.He is just looking for advice like all the others. He appears to me to be quite enterprising for a young guy. There is no need for him to register for VAT or as a company at the moment.....Anybody agree ! Turned out ok so far if you work hard enough.

I don’t think he’s been given a hard time, he’s asked for advice and from the look of his advert IMO he looks dodgy, especially when billy asked how long he’s had it for.... He’s getting fair feedback. There’s nothing wrong with what he is doing, but when you are buying to sell you are a business and that should be made clear to the customer on eBay. It’ll give him legitimacy and help him sell the car
justina3 518 Posted January 22, 2018 Stay away from the vat man for as long as you possibly can within the letter of the law of course, your pictures look ok i always try and keep them at the same distance your first picture is a good one then the next one is a couple of feet back i would try and be more consistent. Your wording is ok a little ott on the been loved theme remember most German buyers dig into every single detail just a quick look at the mot history and when a VAG buyer sees this on the last two mot's he will be out measuring every inch of rubber Nearside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1) Offside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
Tadams 29 Posted January 22, 2018 First line contradicts it's self .. "This Audi has not been modified in any way apart from a stage 1 remap" so in actual fact it has been modified so the first line his pointless or/and a lie. Try "The car has been tastefully modified to add to the already exceptional power of the S3, these modifications included (insert supporting mods) were carried out by a performance Audi specialist (insert specialist name). rich89 11 Posted January 22, 2018 I really hate it when adverts say 'not modified in any way...... except....' Really pisses me off. Same as 'Amazing condition inside and out..... except...'.
whitestone679231 113 Posted January 22, 2018 I wouldn't be mentioning any mods at all,, if the customer asks then fair enough but don't get them thinking bout mods,,, automatically starts them thinking of spotty boy racer sticking a drain pipe on after he has cut cat off and racing along Blackpool prom,,, init bruv. It's now a 6 owner car (i guess OP has registered in to himself now so no longer the 5 that's in the advert) manual S3 for not big money these days so chances are what you have described is exactly whats happened I guess sometimes you play to the car's strength's .. you may well deter some buyers saying it's been modified but equally it appeals the another group who don't want to spend the money modifying it themselves. Like i said above i think if you are honest and give as much info about any modifications as possible it's not always a bad thing, If it's been done by a well known name in the VAG scene it's 100% a plus factor. arslan2468 1 Posted January 22, 2018 Thanks for getting back to guys, I have advertised myself on auto trader as a trade seller, wasn't aware that i needed to do that on eBay too. The S3 was more of a vehicle that i saw for the right price but also wanted to keep for a little while, never really sold a car for this much money before but now its time to sell the vehicle on. I knew the location wasnt the best so will be scouting for a better back drop this week and have new pictures up soon. whenever i do sell a vehicle i do say that i am a part time trader that trades from home. The price that i put the vehicle up for is fairly high but I'm not in a hurry to sell the vehicle either so can hold onto it. The tyres have been changed, and the way i described the vehicle is legit as honest as i could be its probably the most perfect condition vehicle i own consider my current car was brought from the showroom. ill change the back drop and also the wording for the modification. i am still under the tax barrier even though i am working part time too so won't need to look at registering a company etc just yet. anything else i should look at? thanks for your feedback guys
NoMargin 11 Posted January 22, 2018 Is this the only car you have for sale, if so next I would buy a few cheaper cars, instead of one big juicy one, at least if it don't sell the others might and don't start driving it for your own personal use, you'll fall in love and get attached, and what if something goes wrong with it, what will you do then. Get a cheapy to run yourself around in. And definitely redo your photos consistently.

Buying a car and registering it in your name will not absolve your retail responsibility, you are part time trader and have asked for advice. I respect that, but you have to do it properly otherwise you reflect badly on all traders who do it right..
