I once steamed a cavalier with an alacanta interior,it didnt end well

then i steamed a bumper and the paint came off in one big sheet

you can guess im not a steam lover

 

oh yes i bought one of those small yellow steam pots with the nozzle to do detailing in cars and melted an air vent

While we are on the subject of valets, how does everyone feel about 'steaming' interiors? I was was hearing from an car upholsterer a few weeks back about how 'steaming' does a good job of removing dirt/stains and glue needed to assemble the seats?

I've seen those optima steamers do a good job on car interiors and exteriors, I was very tempted a few months back. But the price was way to much. Didn't come to mind the damage the heat could do to the glue in interiors or steering of cloth.  But good point.
