  1. why dont you just start your own messenger forum and those that want part of your wisdom can go there rather than keep ramming your 'i want everything private on here mantra' ive said it before but will repeat the forum is as it is because its open, this way fresh blood can come in gain experience and hopefully put something in ive never been a left leg, up tickle a jelly and be part of the masons

  11. no mate no need for it i have the blue plastic blade im not paying 60 notes for a lump of metal
  12. the car in question on this thread is 4.8L 7 series! 10 years old with 128k do you seriously believe that this would get thrown out, have you been to the small claims court? what do you think trading standards would do to your business if you told a customer his 8 week old car had broken due to age related items ie the reason he bought the car was because this engine should have another 100,000 miles life left minimum,
  13. left hand right hand use this as your mantra and you dont need to go to the smoking sheds to talk remember we all had to start somewhere if daddy didnt provide so any people looking in theres a vast amount of honest knowledge on here and i prefer it that way im on a couple of dark websites for mechanical/electrical help and help given but we are members across the world not just the uk and the help we give each other on there helps us to stay ahead of a wally who thinks all the answers are on youtube if his engine light comes on i willingly give advice to anybody in this trade if they ask and are willing to use the advice,i always give people 2 strikes and im out mind
  14. give them something sweet for the delay you've caused them ive got 25 litres of siphoned petrol at work so i would give them a good dollop of it
  15. what i did today on a black metallic car was get the correct basecoat out i added some 2 pack lacquer and then mixed in a good bit of hardener so the paint would start skinning in 15 minutes ,went round the car at least twice touching in every scratch and there were plenty, this way the complete paint will fall in and so no cutting required, this is a 08 citroen so it doesnthave to be perfect but it looks a million dola to a punter with 1300 nickr in his sky rocket
  16. customer bought picanto back,it had ruined the battery and i thought damaged the ring gear on the flywheel because starter had stayed in mesh ordered a new battery and found it was the ignition switch gone faulty rang the kia dealer and they had one,it was delivered an hour or so later for a grand total of £12 tell me what other dealer would send a part out like that at that cost none whatsoever not even hyundai their prices are eye watering

    Newbie

its like that money loan advert on the tv though where shirley dust comes out of the bonnet, the recovery guys says it needs to go to a garage and he gets a loan that the interest would cover the national debt with to get it fixed today i guess for many of us losing 2g would bust us at start up dead and we dont want the nasty boys coming round with giving us a leg in
  18. hi epv i would advise against sending v5c off once customer has left the premises as if you do and you get a screamer you are at the mercy of waiting for them to return the log book to you so you can resell or having to pay £25 and waiting 6 weeks via the dvla a few years ago i sold a punto to a lady ,this car i had used myself for the previous fortnight with no issues, she came saw purchased drove away,32 minutes later she was back and the exhaust was like a steam train as the headgasket had gone,of course i could have claimed it was wear and tear and advised her that i was to take £100 off the refund for every hundred yards she had travelled but no she got her money back the head was off skimmed a £12 gasket fitted and it was resold 5 days later with the log book still in my mits and no-one the wiser and no more owners so the moral of the tale is keep log books back at least 7 full days and then inform dvla, you can even tell them the day you sold it
  19. debadge it and kia have a winner lovely interior too
  20. lawgistics wont be able to help in this one i really dont think you realise the implications of arguing wear n tear in a case like this i would put yourself in the position of customer and view the whole thread again i have never shirked my responsibilities refunded lots over the years repaired and resold i sleep very safely in my bed and never fear a piece of 3x2 on the back of my head
  21. its major catastrophic failure wear and tear if an alternator packed up fair enough and you asked for some betterment money towards replacement ive done that i think you will find that if you play this card at court not only will you lose but it is highly probable that the customer had to hire a vehicle compatible with his lifestyle in the meantime and you could be looking at 6g refund n the car and 10g costs i said in post 3 the outcome
  22. blokes had it 8 weeks its blown its boiler and it isnt fit for purpose wear and tear in 8 weeks your avin a larf
  23. wrong attitude put on your signed receipt the day collection is to be made and in the legal wording that a no show is breach of contract and you may need to chase them for any sums you may be out due to this breach, also you will not break the contract either ,unless both parties agree i havent had a cocker since i put in these words
