You can imagine the quality of customer from cf247, coming up with a fault after a few days then going off on one as workshops are shut so hard to get parts. I hate cf247 and the majority of their council scheme scumbag punters,
On a more positive note we managed a sale today. The way we are doing it is by appointment only. In order to get an appointment you have to pay £100 (inspired by the late great ad) which is refundable if you don’t like the car aslong as you show up when your meant to.
Only the person buying the car is allowed on our premises. We simply hand them the keys and leave them to it. If they want a test drive as it can’t be accompanied they forfeit the return of their £100 whether the buy it or not and they can take it round the block aslong as they leave the keys for their car and ID on the desk.
So one sold and a decent cheap swapper for £300, will keep the wolves away from the door aslong as we can still manage one every fortnight or so.

Is this still "wank juice and scaremongering"?
How many cases will it take for you to understand this is serious shit?
I thought you were gona fuck off an leave us alone seeing your not a car dealer just a peadophile who owns an old golf and likes young kids?

Workshop is very quiet for us today with cancellations all over the place, we have enough sales prep jobs to keep us going for a few days thankfully

We did unfortunately have thieves last night aswell, not on the same scale though. We have 2 advertising smart cars that get kept at roadside locations. One for the workshop business and one for the sales. One has a large Kevin the carrot teddy as the driver and the other has a 6 foot teddy bear. Some wee idiots smashed both windows and stole the teddies.
Slightly annoying but we decided to do good out of it by putting a funny kidnapped post on social media and it has had an overwhelming response so it’s almost been worth it from an advertising point of view.
search our social media pages if you fancy some mild amusement.

I don’t work at the pitch myself anymore but apparently we had one person in all day who had a few more to see, not that we were overt bothered as he had only purchased his newish Corsa about 6 months ago on finance Would have probably needed the fire brigade to get him out of that.

Yeah generally 15/20/1 however sometimes have a 50/50 mix for vans or stuff that’s really minging like engine bays

We are offering free delivery within 50 miles for customers apprehensive about leaving the house, reassuring them all our cars are fully valeted and sanitised. Prior to delivery they will receive a video call showing them every little blemish or stone chip etc so they can be assured of the product they will receive.

I have to 'fess up' that there is an ulterior motive to my observation of this forum. I have been thinking of replacing my vehicle for something newer, but in part due to my low milage I am still driving around in a 2001 VW Golf 4 motion., but hey its damn reliable. Potentially if a lot of people needed to hand back their finance/lease cars and prices dropped I could be tempted. But due to being an orthodox tight arse the thought of reducing my bank balance by a sum five digits for a newer car fills me with absolute horror. Not that I would want to see people in the unfortunate position of having to hand back their cars. But If the situation ever presented itself and subsequently prices dropped enough I might be tempted.
I can’t think of anything worse than having a pellet like you as a customer

Avoid ECU, Coil Packs or electrics in general but people really do buy into a clean engine and bay.
It’s one of the things you can’t really win with, sometimes we get the question, “why has the engine been cleaned, is it to hide anything?”
yet it we don’t clean them customers comment on how dirty it is -
Quick soak with tfr then quick rinse with a pressure washer does it for us, we do 5/10 a week and rarely have issues.

My worry today is should I start looking at travel insurance for my stag do at the end of the month and wedding insurance for my wedding in May and would any insurance policy cover cancellation due to virus?
