Used to be a Renault specialist in Paisley I used to use years back but I can’t even mind the name of them.

I deal with majority of warranty companies through the workshop, I think the Rac seem to be the least hassle.

Do you make plates for everything David? Do you mind me asking how much it’s costing you a plate?
thanks

I’m assuming that they’re ‘working from home’ so turn on the computer when you get back from school run about 10am and turn it off about 2:45pm before you pick up the kids again. Of course they’ll tell me it’s because of Covid?
I’ve emailed twice asking why I haven’t been put on a black card yet and both have been ignored

Crossing the line maybe yet you still didn’t deny it so therefore I stand by my statement

But back to topic, rather annoyingly, you now have to start to add E30 BMW M3 & similar, in fact almost any potential 80/90's 'modern classics' to the list; although I don't imagine that fits many of your stock profiles.
Clio trophy and e46 m3 that I had recently both attracted the worst type of perverts. If I had a tenner for every time someone asked if the boot floor had been reinforced I have 2 x Honda s2000’s due in stock soon I imagine this will be the same!

I guess from my point of view I did have the issue resolved. As I brought it to both mechanics and had the pedal greased up to eliminate any possible sticking/stiffness after sitting in the yard throughout lock down.
To be honest I think the girl changed her mind or went looking at other cars throughout the week. As she wasnt interested in viewing any of our other 30 cars currently in stock.
I'll refund and move on....not worth the stress. But I do still feel a bit hard done by tbh.
We valet on Collection only Mark, may seem unusual but generally a quick tidy before advertising and a full detailed valet on Collection. Other wise the cars get wrecked by nonsense walk ins who want to kill an hour or two on a Tuesday afternoon
Use COVID as an excuse to not let that happen, Explain that they can’t sit in multiple cars as they need to be Resanitised afterwards .

Refund the full amount as you agreed surely? The car should already have been properly valeted so you can’t count that as an expense?

If it’s anything like the Audi’s they are really bad for the Ariels but that mainly affects nav function

He is a new customer, all my regulars can collect and go home and they always pay within a few days, but a noob always has to pay before collection first time round it's just my policy !!
He also told me his mum would pick it up, and he was at sea, so I asked him outright, can you settle the bill while you're at sea, because I'm not releasing the vehicle until paid, he said yes !! He said he would pay it BACS last Friday and mummy would pick it up on Sat Morn !!
Mel saw him in the shop that same Friday, so the working at sea is bollocks, he's just a silly twat, if he'd been honest and told me he was short of money I'd have taken half and half the next month, but now of course I don't trust him !!
Then yesterday she rocks in to get it, and says he's not paying a £800 bill, because they can buy parts cheaper on EBay so I told her he's not getting a car with my parts on it then and to come back when my bill is settled, then they can get the car, after that it all went downhill
Thing is I don't give a fuck, he can leave it here if he wants, if he's not settled the bill after a month I can see me Ebaying the parts and giving the rest to the scrap pikey
If it came on top, (which it won't), I'd say I am sure he had taken it during the night without my consent, and therefore he now still owes me the money
In the very distant past on the very rare occasion when someone bought there own parts and I've tried to help them, it has always gone pear shaped, wrong gearbox say, so now it's stuck on my lift for a fortnight while they try to get a refund and get another, or something plain doesn't work, and then they don't want to pay to have it done twice
Like you, I simply won't fit owners parts now, FFS we are all businesses not a fuckin' charity, so we rely on making money on parts as well as labour
This twat, if / more likely when he does pay, he'll never get another job done here, he's bit off his nose lol, no one else round here could diagnose the Xmas Tree Dash Lights, and he also gave me a hand written list of everything else he wanted done to it, which is all on one of my clip boards, so he's on a hiding to nothing
I will fit customers own parts but I do warn them if the parts are wrong I will either order the correct parts and fit then or I shall build it back up till they have the correct parts and they’ll have to pay the labour for both times.
I always find it funny when customers buy £7 brake pads and then are surprised that they squeak

Also, I'm not certain, but do the Froggies need a teach in process for TB Motor like a lot of the Hermans do ?
As above, perhaps try see if you can reset the parameters for throttle body?

Is this all multi vendor stuff at BCA and what’s the difference between dealer sale 1, 2, 3 etc?

It wouldn’t bother me, if you look into stuff too much it ruins it for you. We’re all gamblers in this job. Just take a chance

Use the road tax guy, pay the £30 plus the road tax cost. he deals with the hassle and you send off a v62 into new owners name.

Any fault codes in the BCM?

Best option: Use a suction pump on the return line to draw it through the pump etc keep sucking it whilst getting someone to start it at the same time then reclip the return line whilst it’s running
option 2 - easy start
option 3 - tow start it
