Whats the story with that place?  Did they make big money doing a tax scam back in the day ?

@trade vet  is that what a lot of these import places were doing? Was there a lot of them making a lot of money out of it in years gone by?

I’m sure they were formerly the Keighly trade centre back in the day and sold hundreds of imports, I’m sure they had a terrible reputation also. Motor hub removed their google page as they were getting bad reviews every week  they do have some lovely stock though!

I remember when in the 90’s,pitches advertising in AT mag were cropping up and making serious money selling imported Evos and Impreza crap to Riff Raff. They had some way of evading the import duty but by advertising them they alerted the authorities and most of these guys got wiped out financially.......BTW I was a big fan of Zafiras and most 7 seaters,we did good business with them.

Do they not still exist and are called motor hub now

 I was thinking exactly the same when I read your comment. Horrid things, and by the time they get to 10yrs old (when I’ve occasionally had the misfortune of experiencing them) they’re usually absolutely knackered & ALWAYS have issues - they’re on my ‘Don’t buy list’. I think the last half-decent car they made was the Galant but no fucker wanted them.

You missed the evo 9 there! The 10 was nowhere near as good!

Another one , this time contact at once on Autotrader

" Hello hope your not being to affected by the world problems of Covid , " To help you sell a car I'm in a position to take a look at your Fiesta Edge that would be the most perfect car for my daughters first car , Please text me back when you've made arrangements to bring it along so i can test drive its suitability for her .

She lives 300 miles away from us ,  the car is £4,195

What in blue blazes is this world of silly expectations coming too ?

I answered "I cant bring along my dear as its too far to walk home at my age  "

To write service history to the idrive isn’t hard at all tbh

all you need is a £10 Enet cable and the ability to convert from KM to miles

only downside is when it goes in for a software update it gets deleted

Is it ista p that gets used?

whilst i wouldnt know how to flash an update on a bm i can advise if this is what you are trying be very very careful because flashing involves updating everything so before you flash you take a copy of what you have first just in case so you can hopefully put everything back as it was if it all goes t*ts

the other most important thing is you must have a stable power supply whilst doing a flash ie a quality battery maintainer not something thats not smooth that was ok for old cars pre ecu

Yeah you need something that can supply a constant 12v minimum. Diagnostic won’t let you wind back Range Rover rear callipers without it which is a royal pita.

Yes I should've made it clear that this is for the main dealer servicing. I also have the ability to record servicing there but not on idrive. Nice little portal this BMW AOS

I bought all the bimmer cables to try flash it onto the I drive but it’s a pig to work, can’t get to the bottom of it.

    Only just saw this.

On these cars the history information is stored on the idrive. From main menu go to Vehicle Information, then Vehicle status and on the top it should say Service History.

Not always Nick, in our workshop we can update the dsr online but we can’t flash it through to the I drive

I would expect a longer experience than one hour if I paid €12.49 for it

how much are hookers these days?

Hookers mate you pay a minimum of an hour generally which I find a bit unfair as I only need about 4 minutes on a good day and that includes getting dressed after

What was the first auction you ever went to ? Think mines was bca from memory

Mine was central, my mate took me as he’d written off his car, I was a mechanic so he wanted me to check things out for him, he liked the look of a saxo vts, it seemed a decent car and I told him to put his hand up for it as it seemed cheap, he didn’t so I did and that’s probably where the bug started :) I still love a tidy Saxo Vts, such a brilliant little car to drive! They don’t make them like that any more!
