  5. Every time I walk into the bank the lady always points me either to the paying in machine, the withdrawal machine, or to sign up for internet banking because did you know you can do it all online sir? And I always reply back saying you know if I did all that you wouldn't have a job right? I just get a blank stare back lol
  6. at the moment, banks are required by law to maintain 7 years of transactions for every account. I heard the gov wants to increase this to 20 years, presumably so they can have more time to scrutinise everything in the future...
  7. That's very interesting, I can't understand how the air filter would affect things - even with no air filter all the air "breathed in" would still have to pass through the air mass meter and get measured... Don't talk to me about fuel quality sensors though, fuel quality? Seriously? How tf can you measure fuel quality?? And then it chucks it into limp mode for no reason lol
  8. I don't think it helps with bringing in additional prospects, it could help with bringing the same punter back a few years later as he/she's the only one that will see the company name on a regular basis It used to be around 6 ten years ago, but nowadays with so many distractions (facetube, snapgram, junk marketing emails), research shows that someone has to have at least 15 exposures to a certain company before they are influenced enough to take action. So key rings, stickers, number plates etc. all combined, definitely helps cement the dealership's branding in the punters head, to joe public... I doubt it.
  9. if anyone else is curious, OM651 = all 4 cylinder engines built from 2008-present

  12. LOL OP, put a picture up, maybe superglue is enough if the crack is small?
  13. not sure what the dvla think of this, but I've noticed if some people in the trade want to tax a car that's not in their name they just use the number on the green slip to do it, and when it comes to selling it they tell billy it's taxed for now, keep an eye on MID and tax it again once you receive the v5 in your name. Not sure if it'll help in this case, but if the car being taxed is enough to get the plate off, then you could do this?
  14. MB main dealer trade prices for service parts are awesome in case anyone doesn't know!!

  17. my mechanic had an issue with a Renault Clio power steering rack that was sent to BBA reman for refurbishment, he said he had to send it back to them 3 times because it kept failing after just a few weeks...
  18. normally BMW have master sets in the parts dept., they have two designs of locking wheel nuts and each design has about 15 pattens, if you go there they'll bring the set out, try it one by one on the car and you can buy the the one that fits for about a tenner
  19. aside from the dismal gearbox, the small diesel engine's in these return very impressive MPGs which is why these Picasso's are popular with punters...
