  1. Hi mates ;).

Has anyone had success selling 2.0 petrol manual CR-V’s? Mk3?

I’ve taken one in today and got a horrible feeling I’m gonna be living with it longer than AD has lived with his TT.

Black on black - 58k miles diesel auto - absolutely stunning - just serviced and Mot’d - I literally couldn’t believe how cheap I got it. Never happens.

all green ticks on the report

To be fair I picked up a few cheapies on Tuesday at Enfield. Haven’t sold them yet though lol!

I bought a 118d M Sport convertible auto for £6300 inc fees last Tuesday from Enfield bca and sold it Wednesday afternoon for £8800. you couldn’t make it up in the middle of winter. i only bought it as it capped a 6800 and was mega cheap and fully assured.

Selling a convertible in the winter within 24 hours will never be achieved again lol

Was it white grant? Good price that regardless.

  4. Yeah I thought that too. Loads of new faces. Yeah I normally go twice during the week. I was collecting a car yesterday but kept an eye on the hall, had to laugh at a few going for retail and above!

I used to happily pay them when stock was difficult to find. See a very cheap car, buy it without having the ££££ to pay it, wait a week or two, pay it + £60-70 storage and watch how the same car sells for £1500 more :-)

Now though it's easier. I will pay them by transfer 3 days after winning them, this gives me extra 4 days of FREE storage so I have until end of play on TUE to pick them up. Free.

So they don’t start charging storage until a couple days after the invoice is paid? Not a couple days after winning bid?

  6. I was in Bca Enfield today picking up a couple cars I bought online, and I overheard a man speaking with a member of staff about opening an account. The staff member came from an office somewhere to speak with him.

From what I heard, the staff said he could put the man on a gold account straight away on a probation period and if he buys 3 cars in 3 months he stays on gold for the rest of the year? Paying gold fees from the word go?

Has any one experienced this before?

Thank you James. So It is well over 10%.Sounds very expensive money to me,when you consider it is hard to net 1% when investing these days.I can see it working if you are a small operation with 10 cars and big mark ups.I can also see why these car supermarkets charge an admin fee.Surely if you have ‘belt and braces security’ you can buy money for more than half the price......Very interesting.

Yes I agree. I remember having a meeting with a Nextgear rep about a year or so ago, the price per car is just the beginning. They have an annual fee and an audit fee (monthly) if you are using less than 30% (I think) of your agreement. The fees are just non-stop. Great if the turnover is quick but too dangerous for me. A simple business loan is the way forward imo

    I think that’s a compliment!

Lol I just re-read my post. I didn’t mean his cars are shit, far from it in fact!

I mean if he took in a shit car he could make it look good with his photography skills.

  9. I’m with EPV on this one.

I know it’s too late now but that is one boring car. Can’t see many people wanting a standard 3 series in red with cloth seats.

I would take a look at Nicks website, he makes shit cars look atttactive.

merc a c and e class although c class seem hard to sell recently.

or Audi A1,a3 a4 and Audi A6 - we try and stick to Msport and S line -

the Problem we are having is sourcing enough cars. 7 this month so far.

If I had 80 cars for £4500 I would be literally smashing it! We have made £6k profit in the last 2 days and that’s with only 12 cars. I wish I had 80 cars I would quite happily pay out that kind of money, however I think I would really struggle to find 80 cars of the stock type that I wanted!

What price range are you selling grant?

No way. Danny was / is a legend. I miss his spelling deeply.

Danny is only a mile down the road from me. I’ll go see him and get him on here lol! I doubt he knows another forum exists!

  13. Welcome Miles.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this happening. I didn’t know it was possible to reverse a bank transfer? It’s extremely worrying as the majority of us receive large amounts via bank transfer on a regular basis.

It sounds as though there is a mistake somewhere! However the customer has noticed it and taking advantage.

Personally I would phone the bank again and not put the phone down until you get an answer.

Once you have an answer I’d be going round the blokes house and having it out with him on his doorstep without prior warning. This is bang out of order and makes my piss boil just thinking about it.

  14. Imagine buying a TV from somewhere like Curry’s, then taking it back with sellotape over the top and demanding a refund, but they’re not allowed to look inside the box until you’ve got your money back and left.

Can you imagine that working? No different to what’s happening here.
