  1. www.wemakeanycarlookattractive.com is available:-)
  2. David, I did well out of your last Volvo coupe, if the 440 sticks around (lets hope not) call me :-)
  3. I saw it as a compliment too, thank you :-)
  4. The only thing you are REALLY missing out on are the stories by James Bush from the old forum. His customers’ mental health has not improved one bit from last year...
  5. Great result David, should’ve asked for slightly more as suggested:-) now if you can buy ten more like it would be great...
  6. I had a look and the car isn’t so bad. Automatic would be much better but it is what it is. Yes it’s very basic spec but stands out compared to a silver one, it’s nicely valeted and has very sensible miles. At that sort of money a finance buyer would’t care if it is 9900 or 10490 and might be buying for the wife in which case Red becomes an advantage. Please please remove Glove box from the list of the equipment and as James says expand on the ad text a little. Also, this colour is called Melbourne Red. Put it somewhere in the ad text, sounds better :-)
  7. David, once you get accepted to the Private chatroom your EDIT button will go away :-)
  8. Don't tell me you are NOT ALLOWED to have a lower price (or higher) price for ONLINE buyers. Why oh why have I been paying BCA £44 a pop for the privilege to buy online from them???
  9. I don't and I am. I still wish you luck though. I've never come across anyone on these forums that needs it more.
  10. Thats only for citizens of the EU and US. In a couple of months that will not apply to (most of) us.
  11. I actually removed my business details a while ago when someone started advertising fake passports and visas here.
  12. On a wide open and popular public forum this is the only word to be used. Pond life, Bottom feeders, Low lives, Punters, Billys, Dreamers etc don't make you look good when someone Googles your company name and stumbles upon these pages.
  13. Hopefully wouldn't follow up tomorrow with "I nearly managed to get home from an auction"...
  14. Just what Benji wanted to hear after cancelling that train ride and facing another day of uncertainly on the roads back from Derby.
  15. A bit ironic considering what actually triggered the VAG DIESEL emissions scandal in 2015. All they did was connect the steering angle sensor (from the ABS ECU) to the engine ECU so when there was no steering wheel input for a while (car on a test ramp for example) the engine would run leaner with fewer emissions.
  16. I would read fault codes first but in this case will also take out and clean the Vanos solenoids, less than 10-15 minute job. They get blocked with dirt from the oil. On this engine it could also be a blocked oil pick up strainer in the sump which when the car warms frees itself for a bit and it runs better. Then when the oil drains back in the sump and stiffens, it blocks the strainer again. After a while the timing chain will break due to poor lubrication.
  17. Absolutely and these days most people looking at cars for sale do it on their mobiles. If your stock is more suitable towards people in the Golden Ages (small automatics) that might not be the case.
  18. Spotted in the ad listings: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201811042125663 Someone did a price drop from £4000 and must have added an extra 3 by mistake. Better for everyone else I guess as the price markers for this model are now "slightly up" There will be someone in a pub near you telling everyone else how poor their response from this advert was! Extra "9" I meant ^
  19. I disagree, nothing "Shark" about this... the same physical car advertised once more at the expense of a spare ad slot. The car is available and as described, the price is the same and real, the mileage is accurate and hopefully more consumers will be able to find it this time.
  20. I am sure the Black Editions don't get in as many searches because they are not included in the main S-Line search. Such a shameful AT algorithm that works against the higher spec more sought-after variant. Why not add the ability to search for S-Line first, then narrow it down to Black Ed???
  21. Thanks, done, will measure the advert response for 48 hours and will report back. If the other advert gets a lot higher response this "double stock" idea could be a great way to use the AT double stock offer in the winter months.
  22. MA62GZX but we don't want a twin. We just want an S-Line Avant which is NOT a Black Ed.
  23. Ha ha ha ha, this was funny To avoid future confusion on this forum please note that I am 40.
