Tough one. If I was a customer and I would have bought a 5k car and 2 months later and with not many miles I wouldnt expect to be told that brake discs and pads are wear and tear. They should have been done pre sale in my opinion. The amount of cars Ive had in the workshop from the car shop that want brakes, exhausts etc within 3 months if far too high.

Cannot comment for others but ive never sold many in the 10 days or so leading up to the budget. Luckily the first half of the month has seen me through. Bought 3 out of an auction today tho.

Are Blue a finance house or a broker? LB

2 x broken vw polos please help
lastyboy replied to Barclaywoodmotorco's topic in General Dealer Chat
Coldnt agree more. Genuinely do not know how they keep their reputation. In our workshop we have had more late plate VW issues than anything else. LB -
Depends on what years, mileage etc they are? LB

I quite like Cazana as well. Overvalues the odd car by miles but on the whole its good . £35+ VAT a month is a good deal too.

I had a very good September and footfall for October has been very poor. BUT ive had a lot of repeat business in October along with a couple of vehicles that i have sourced for people. All in all I am a bit above where i would expect to be.

15 years ago it was common place. Much rarer nowadays.

I pay a bit extra on my annual premium a year and do unaccompanied test drives. I take a copy of driving licence and details and keep for 6 months for speeding fines etc. Write down name and time the test drive went out. Worked for me like this for several years. I run a busy MOT bay and workshop as well and quite frankly unless the person is nervous or would prefer me to come with them, I just dont have time. -
Test the battery. If it tests faulty, put a good quality one on and go from there. Had 2 Fiestas running rough last month. Both cured by new batteries

I use Close and Moto Novo for prime deals. I earn more from Moto Novo but Close look after me better Advantage or First response for sub prime. First response have amazing customer service.

If the cars were sensibly priced I would be there!

Suction control valve??

Good luck to you but i would say this is a long term job. Look after customers, prep your cars well and be honest. Over the years you will get more and more repeat business and hopefully make more money. Thats my take on it anyway.

2 today. 6.5k Meriva and 7.7k X-Trail.

Fair enough. Not seen anyone repair one to my knowledge . Think the main issue is the head cracks . Someone on ebay is repairing the heads fitted for £900.

No Dave. New engine required. I am sure at some point, someone will sort out a remedy. They also suffer terribly from oil sludging internally.
