I am new to the game as you know but I think a drive in instant cash for your car site would be a brilliant idea. If you marketed it correctly and had the right staff appraising the potential purchases its a winner. We live in a society that wants it now so I am sure it would work. Cheers Dean

Good luck Grant.... Sounds like a sound business plan to me... I am sure you will do well, things are always easier when the pressure is off. Keep us posted on how you are getting on. I have only been trading 6 months and way off of thinking about a plot. Getting stock is the age old problem for me. Regards Dean. -

Cheers, I have managed to free the n/s lock but only locks and unlocks the n/s door.... when you sit in the car and lock the car with the button on the dash it locks. I will try your method of synchronization. The ones I tried last night I googled didn't work. I am not sure about the sunroof reciver and relatively new to the game. It does have a sunroof though... Thanks for reply, Regards Dean. Cheers Beautiful south

Not quite, just at the stage of sitting with my head in my hands as every car turns to poo at the moment ha ha. Merry Christmas my arse.

Cheers Grant8064, Neither of the keys work remotely and it dosen't have a manual key lock in the door ha ha, A bit stuffed really. can't even lock it manually.
-
Hi S and B, Yes both lights flash on the key fobs... I think they are not talking to the locking system... Thanks anyway.

Hi Guys, I have just taken in a 2004 Renault Clio and the remote central locking doesn't work from the keys.... Is there a way to synchronize the keys. If you sit in the car and press the button on the dash it locks the car. Many thanks in advance, Regards Dean.

Hi Alex, I started trading full time from home in May, my problem is buying stock to be honest. I certainly haven't got a bottomless pit of money but its getting the cars I am struggling with. I went to the auction today, bid on 5 cars and didn't win 1. I have started looking at buying privately finding poorly advertised cars and going to look at them. At least you can drive the cars and I feel a little bit more confident in paying a little bit more for a car I have driven. As you are more than aware borrowing money is cheap at the moment but for me I would rather take things a little slower and build my funds gradually. This business is hard enough as a new trader let alone worrying about loan repayments. Regards Dean.

Morning all, brought a lovely, or so I thought... 2005 BMW 318 CI with 65,000 miles and good history from Astons last night, I paid top money for it having researched pricing in the local area. When I got in the and put down the clutch pedal there is a flutter on my foot when fully engaged. As soon as you lift the pedal an inch or so off of the floor the fluttering stops and it pulls away cleanly. The car drives nicely with no clutch slipping or difficulty engaging gears. What are your thoughts on whether this is the duel mass fly wheel or possible just a need to bleed the hydrolick clutch system. I just wondered if this is something any of you guys have encountered. Many thanks Dean.

Welcome Little Spender, Great subject..... Started back in May selling from home and finding it challenging due to the endless dynamics involved in trading cars... I avidly log onto this forum daily and think it is brilliant. All I will say you can leave it feeling really positive due to the excellent posts or it can sometimes leave you feeling a little bit negative as we all vent our frustrations openly. For me it is a lifeline as I am used to working as a team and I do miss the opportunity to bounce ideas around with people that understand the highs and the lows. This forum has certainly gone a little way to giving me this. It seems strange as I have never met anybody on the forum but the same names post daily and I feel I know them already, it is great to see how the more experienced guys get on on a daily basis. There is defiantly money to be made in this business and being positive plays a major part in helping you to achieve..... BUT as I said above it is mainly about taking calculated risks on the cars you buy to sell. For me this isn't easy as I have never gamboled in my life ha ha. I wish you all the best, Regards Dean.

Cheers S & B. I have defiantly put the idea of a Dolly out of my head now... Thanks for reply.

Hi BHM, I quite fancy the bike thing in the summer.. ha ha Max, Only started this year so working from home with ltd space so not enough cars to warrant the expense.. Also its where I could keep it. Thanks anyway.

Wow guys, Thanks for going to the effort in finding the relevant info... I think this pretty much answers the question for me. Such a shame as I thought I had a solution to my logistics challenge. Thanks again, Regards Dean.
-
Thanks very much... Just had a lot of conflicting info. I will ring my Insurance company later...I have a feeling I know what the answer will be.

Good morning all, I am a one man band that started earlier in the year and am really struggling with logistics. I have found a really good mechanic and body repairer but the are 12 miles from my house. This makes it really difficult to drop off and collect cars. I have also started looking at the odd private car to buy and it would be great to take the car there and then. Taxi fairs are really expensive so I need another solution. My question is do any of you use a dolly and are they legal. Also concerned about the implications when using one with my traders insurance. Many thanks Dean.

Hi Jimbo, I had a conversation with the Motors Representative that cover my area and was quoted £120.00 + vat for 10 cars a month. Regards Dean.

BHM, I am sure you are right ha ha, I think I need to go on a course of how to lower my expectations of people. From the the very start you guys said I wild need a thick skin, and boy you were right... Cheers.
