  1. Wouldnt the Post Office cash the stamps if they are genuine? sounds like they may be fake or stolen or he would have cashed them in.
  2. Thread resurrection....if a punter wants to pay cash of any amount it should not be a problem ....so long as you declare it all and pay it into your bank , just make sure you keep the punters details and let HMRC know , that way you dont lose the sale.
  3. If a long distance customer has a breakdown are you liable for recovery back to your pitch?
  4. I`m getting back into the game and wondering who you use for valuations and HPI checks , I`m going to be a small one man band to start with so I`ll be watching the pennies but of course at the same time I want to be sure about what I`m buying in. Ive been in touch with CAP and they have not given me any subscription costs yet but are offering an online demo. Cheers
  5. Slightly off topic , RE Back row bangers , can you still sell them with no warranty as "spares or repairs" ? how do you need to word the invoice if so?
  6. Ive been quoted £495 , trading as a full time dealer working from home , trade value per car upto £7500 , told them it would be with around 10 cars , Ive not taken it out as I now intend getting a pitch.
  7. New boy here , I`m making the first moves to get back in to the motor trade , Ive done it with bikes and cars many years ago but no doubt much has changed , such as consumer rights and finance , so I hope to pick your brains and get up to date . I have a small pitch lined up in the South West but not committed to it yet , I intend to start with 15-20 motors that will retail from around £2k-£6k , buying from the block . Other that "dont do it" what advice would you give ? Cheers
