Best to just try taxing it first before customer turns up , Just to make sure its the correct green slip eg the latest one . Then you can do as you say and make the transfer

Love this example for running a business during Covid We are looking for 6 bucket seats for the track cars , estimated cost around £3-4,000 for the lot so not a bad order really is it . Phones this place in Notts to see if we can go out look and collect . Response was amazing , " oh you cant just come I'll send you a text with the information we need " text arrives . we need you to fill in the deceleration of health saying you haven't got coughs , temperature or feeling unwell etc . Prove we have a mask . Use the gloves provided and handwash on arrival omg . Then we only see people at 11am and 2 pm and only one person can come in at a time for 30 mins So I rang back and said I have £4,000 with your name on it , only time I can get is 5pm are you sure you don't want the money . Answer was . There wont be anyone here at 5 pm as we close at 5pm you have the rules so please abide by them or spend your money elsewhere ASTONISHING Be one of those firms in 6 months time that's blaming Covid for putting them out of business .

Hello there, thanks very much for your reply. Really informative. Now, how about you climb off your high horse and read above where it clearly states ‘New to the trade game’ We are new, as in, just started. So just because we don’t have a massive forecourt and are trading from home, does that make us ‘wannabe’?? In all honesty we don’t have the funds available as of yet to have the facilities the non ‘wannabe’ traders have (selling accounts, finance, forecourt, etc) We are currently in the process of having logos, business cards, social media and selling space accounts being created, (as a business) Just because it’s advertised on a personal page, doesn’t mean that it’s misrepresentation. We tell people we are trade. There’s no denying it. Just bare in mind that people have to start somewhere, maybe things aren’t quite in place, there’s nothing illegitimate about that. So unless you have any genuine advice, information or anything that will be of benefit to me and my business, don’t bother commenting on my thread. It’s negative, ignorant people like you that ruin brilliant forums like these. Look at all the comments above yours. They are a credit to this forum and to the trade.
