Why pay for it when the punters get it free? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-valuation It doesn’t give you desireability in your area but that’s bollocks anyway. As is good price/great price as it’s self fulfilling. Car Gurus is much cheaper and gives that nonsense too if it appeals to you. BCA give guide prices anyway Check the trade and retail price on the above free AT site and the free Hpi/cap one, go with your gut and buy what appeals to you. Save yourself the £1200 a year wasted on that nonsense I say. Search what’s advertised within 40miles at most and price accordingly. If it’s something a bit speccy or different then it won’t just be your local buyers looking or rocking up to buy it as it’s a small country nowadays thanks to the internet.

Theres a huge difference in being a SE sole trader, to being a ltd company. There’s no attraction or benefit in being a limited company if you are a sole trader. IMO

I assume it means it’s a load of old hot air personally. No way of proving or disproving either way. For me, AT’s prices are right more often than not. It’s the largest auto market place in the UK. Even if CAP did take eBay, Motors et all all of them together still don’t make up AT’s dominance.

Absolutely, as long as everyone knows that WBAC's initial valuation is between CAP Average and CAP Below and prices accordingly. To quote them: "We analyse more retail advertised prices every day than anyone else to make sure we truly reflect the market" I assume this to mean that they have "robot algorithms" that go through retail adverts.

Work retail back. Don’t bother with guides. Some cars go way over some way under. Find something that has a demand and price it accordingly.

BHM recommended AnyVan last week and i’ve used them twice. Can’t be faulted.

I’d say if you have an invoice stating that the car must be trailered away and they sign that you’re covered. Even if it WAS your responsibilty to force him to tow the car what if he sent the trailer away and climbed in it to drive it? Are you going to chase him down the road? As you say it’s completely unenforceable. Just cover your area with the right paperwork and get on with your life.

i would dispute that 100% so if he says i am driving the car away which i just purchased so the goods are now legally mine, what do i have to do make a citizens arrest ? its just plain stupid and unenforceable. Can you also copy where that information is posted i would like to read the rest of it

Not exactly. And let's call it a Buyers fee, not Indemnity fee (see 8.4 in my post above): No Buyers fee: Buy for £10000, sell for £12000, pay VAT on £2000 margin. With Buyers fee: Buy for £10000, add £300 buyers fee, sell for £12000, pay VAT on £1700 margin. The lower margin to pay VAT on gives you your saving.

Movex. Just stipulate on the “post a job” section that the car can’t be driven. Most of the transporters that have turned up here have winches. All of them actually.
