I would stick with your gut instinct, i control is a waste of time, will tell you to buy certain cars then tell you to reduce them every 5 minutes because someone else is ten bob cheaper. You’re either a car dealer or you’re not, if you need I control (which I’m sure you don’t) you’re in the wrong job.

Yeah it does amaze me. It's like they think they're being smart but fail to realize we do this for a living a see a good few of them each month. The best ones are the ones that haggle then call the next day and its sold. I love that. Jackass: But but I was going to pay a deposit. Me: No, sorry it sold. Jackass: I was only there yesterday. Me: Yes, sorry, it sold later that day. Makes me feel all warm inside.

I trawl the buy it now lists and some of my biggest profits come out of these, can spend a bit more time researching the current market prices less up against the clock so to speak. That profit on the Disco sport would be alright, I would probably take the rest of the day off if I made that

It's always been 48 hours after you collect or it's been delivered. Their useless transport debt can take a week for us to deliver a car 80 miles away. I certainly wouldn't be buying from a distance if that was the case.

Its not only keyboard warriors, often find them on the lot this morning was no difference. Bell end i mean customer spends a lifetime looking over a car with his expert who was more worried that the car didnt have a lot of screenwash in the bottle compared to his car, came up to me and said nah its not for me ok no worries have a nice Easter then he replies whats the best you will do for cash....yawn i replied what difference does that make the car isnt for you well if its a £1500 i will ave it i said £1500 would be a great deposit when do you wish to pay the balance of £1000 No i will leave it i got six others to see up the road, well up the road is Gower lots of lovely cliffs and beaches down there but no car sales, and six cheaper when i looked i couldnt find one with better spec miles and condition within 50miles so good luck with that search. Its hard sometimes not to come across as being an arse but it does get tiring

Ohhh I love a day out to Bedford... Always found their staff quite helpful, especially the young lady in the key office / yard. They do a lovely Chilli sometimes Blackbushe Cafe is the best Breakfast. Plus I do like their bland and un spicy chicken curry with rice and chips on occasion haha. Since their front desk staff walk out they've been a bloody nightmare though.

OK...what I would do...email the on line team and ask them to provide details of both your bid and your cancelled bid.If they cannot, ask them to prove that they have not trotted bids beyond the reserve. As I understand BCA rules, this is prevented with proxy bids. They won’t do it of course,I imagine they did run it up.Then if they want to suspend your account, you can threaten to sue them for failing to supply the supporting data and loss of livelihood etc.....We tend to threaten BCA with court action several times per year now to get things done. Our guy just settled up one case and we are about to start another after a new line in their fob offs. With these people you have to fight them.

Don't often respond to eBay messages due to this. Never had any response back from a silly offer! Responded to one, asking for a 15% discount plus delivery. No, the price is the price. Delivery is extra. Ready for the crazy part, you'll never believe it....... Ok, send us the details and I'll pay now! SOLD!

Finance companies aren't stupid. I used to deal with these scenarios on a daily basis back in my previous life. They will work out straight away that you are a dealer and then you have no chance. My advice is firstly, do right by your buyer. Its not his/her fault and they shouldn't be made to suffer. Either offer to buy the car back or negotiate with the finco. They don't really want it back, they would rather have cash, so try and negotiate ( you're a car dealer, you should be good at that !) get the best deal you can and take it on the chin. Lesson learnt, Hpi et all are there for a reason. Always check the car to protect yourself. if you check and the finance isn't registered, but subsequently comes to light, then the data provider will cover you. You might grumble at paying a few quid per car to check em, but if you lose £10k because of 1 deal, thats a lot of HPI checks !!
