    Hi Alfie, Finance companies...be careful ! you may be offered good commission rates but it can be clawed back.You have to be mindful of the rates and terms contract.e.g. If a hirer misses 3 monthly instalments your commission will be clawed back ! That could mean ( or did in our case) if the hirer misses 3 different instalments by one day your commission will be clawed back ! Also,after a while you may want to move to another finance company who are offering a better deal.You may be asked to pay a lump sum to cover any potential shortfalls in the outstanding cases you have received commission for ! That is the downside,but if you have a good finance company and do the business for them,you will get looked after- corporate events,away days,volume bonuses etc

    I believe Zuto are now brokering deals and pay a commission also. Not found better service from a broker yet when they've sent us customer's and am getting the same service when we've propped to them, keep us up to date on where the customer is up to and advise on the rates and payments the customer has been approved for so we are in the know too.

    Trade Vet. I see it very differently. When I talk to the boys at auction with sites, they're always moaning and saying they wished they didn't have the expense and responsibility, the costs, the hassle, in fact they're all looking for cheaper ways out. I certainly don't envy anyone with a site, I believe it's the other way round

    Customers! Don't you just love them!?!! Unfortunately MAP I can believe everything you just said. The cheek of the general public beggars belief. There is absolutely no home viewing service offered here, if they can't get themselves here then they can go elsewhere cos those that want their arses wiped before a viewing are a pain if they do buy. I learnt my lesson within the first few months after taking an early Smart car to someone's house. A lovely thing, they fucked about for four hours then eventually bought. A week later they decided the standard fitment cassette player wasn't good enough for them & started demanding a CD unit. It went on for months with Trading Standards involved (in hindsight obviously biased but I was as green as grass then), phone calls, texts, threats to come down (funnily enough I'm still waiting - I've yet to get the second visit from any of these gobshites) and eventually I paid them off - all of this for a couple of quid. Now I'm wise to these chancers & wiser with regards to consumer legislation that's why I take a fair but very hard line otherwise the average buyer will saddle you up & ride your arse til it bleeds.
