And of course your opinion helps and as you said earlier will always take advice I don't think you can ever know to much or not enough I've been in the trade since 1999 through different aspects did some property/ land planning to was chatting to old guy at the auction the other week who has did it 50 years and still keeps his hand in . Every day is school a school day and i still make school boy errors sometimes ..so guess in comparison to him I'm not far above the basics either lol strangely i only found the forum a few months ago though I've read the mag before my old boss subscribed to it . CRW 73 Posted July 23, 2019 I have my own branded number plates carrying the EU logo, with borders and a drop down tab at the bottom with 2 phone numbers and website. Never really thought a lot about it until my mate reckons when he's out trucking, he can pick out one of my cars from about 50 metres away. Apparently something about them is quite distinct, which cant be a bad thing. Whether they will be as distinct without the EU logo post Brexit I'm not so sure! Also rear window stickers, nothing fancy, but I always thought they are quite important. Gives the car behind something to read when stuck in traffic! People then seeing your name on cars breeds familiarity with your business in your area. Everyone to their own, but a new set of plates freshens anything up I find. I love branding but I doubt very much whether someone seeing a window sticker will lead to a sale but you never know. I had a choice of decal and went for individual letters with no backing. I think the classier they look, the more likely they will remain. With the other half ripped torn or missing why not just take the rest off . Changes the plates to dealer plates on Prestige stuff buying the plates from the dealer and changing them from lex auto lease etc Strange thing is he has his own garage workshop mot station and has his own plate printer which prints company details on plates . Or over the big tommy etc that some people put on there cars . last time I visited him he had advanced to one of those label print machines you can use around the house and office .. Heard of one guy who somehow incorporated them into repairing doors using them as a flat panel to apply filler against! Safe to say, I never used him. Probably lol and a bit of red or yellow paint on the drums and callipers on a £400 fiesta.maybe even go all out all colour code them , instead of a golf gtl or something thats meant to have them .
