Royal Mail vans service history

Does anyone know how can i obtain an ex royal mail vans service history? 

Do they use main dealer or have their own mechanic?

 

Van came with no service history but wasn't directly from royal mail so it was sold to someone and was re auctioned.

I think it is likely Area specific ................

In the remote area I live, all our RM Vans etc are Serviced & Repaired by the large local Garage, which in reality means, knowing some of the retards that work there, and having seen a lot of their inept efforts come through my workshop, I wouldn't touch one with "Someone Elses"

However, it used to be the case when I was in Englandshire, that the RM Vans were always well looked after by their own Workshops and were therefore High Milers but a good cheap Van

I suspect these days the "Bean Counters" will have closed their Workshops and now they probably use the likes of Halfrauds etc

Nope Royal Mail still have their own service centres, well they do around the midlands anyway. I know of four around here.

I used to do a lot of contract work for Royal Mail fleet and I wouldn’t touch any of their vans to be honest apart from the overnight long distance Sprinters. Anything that was used as a local delivery van will have stupidly low miles but drive like it’s been to the moon and back over a ploughed up field.

TV32, are you advertising it as an ex royal mail van? I would do.

Most of the time its blatantly obvious unless they have had a full shoot.

i sometimes go to meet my postman in the yard, he drives a combo, handbrakes in roof lining, tyres are 2mm, rims are well bent, and the engine is a grenade with pin out, not serviced properly where i work from
