Pip 12 Posted August 20, 2018 Hi there. Just taken a px in with plastic headlights that are misty. Someone said try wd40 on them to which I laughed. So yesterday I thought why not and gave it a try. No hard rubbing and they have come up like new. Crystal clear. Has anyone else heard this or tried it before? Just looked 5 minutes ago and they look as new. EPV 631 Posted August 20, 2018 Never tried that but always wetsand, compound and they look new. If the wd40 does the same thing, happy days.
palomine motors 2 Posted August 20, 2018 I'm going to try it but strongly suspect it will be a very temp solution. Similar to when light lacquer scratches disappear when wet
Mikey360 68 Posted August 20, 2018 Think wd40 is used to avoid an MOT advisory if the headlights are cloudy. Only stays clear till it's washed. As said before, wetsand, compound, Polish. And then clear uv resistant lacquer if you want to go the extra mile.
