True trade 3 Posted June 25, 2018 Can you make it to the sale or are you buying online? I sometimes think the inspectors are a bit hard on the cars just to cover their own backs. From my own experience that engine tends to pretty tough. Never had a major issue with the 3.0 litre Mercedes engines, only serviceable items.
Grantlfc81 88 Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) Pay no attention- give it a good old rev.... and listen to them starting it up. I just bought a mini with the same thing and it’s absolutely perfect. Do your own research. And don’t buy blind!! Edited June 25, 2018 by Grantlfc81
Stalker 180 Posted June 25, 2018 is it in red or amber? Red is a bit of a gamble, however amber in my experience is most of the time an arse covering exercise.

Lakeside 94 Posted June 25, 2018 Anything in notes? Nine times out of ten at bca here it’ll say requires attention on engine running then say either pulley noise, boost leak or chain rattle in notes.
twerp 69 Posted June 25, 2018 Well I made it to the auction and this so called Grade 2 was really what they used to grade as a Grade 5, back 5-6 years ago *Every*Single*Panel Engine sounded alright, but I have my doubts. 3 hours ago, chief nut job said: would that be a s/h plug and play or would it need to be coded in? Plug-n-play In the notes was the code for the pedal
