Always keep an eye on whats going on online and been looking out for a C-max for member of the family, unsurprisingly all going way over book, well, the decent stuff is. but while logged in, noticed a 2008 Clubman Cooper, 1 owner, 60k, pepper pack, just serviced and years ticket. Stalled at £2450 against book of £3500. Put in a cheeky £2500 against a "not sold"... wasn't expecting anything of it...... next thing I know I've bought it....

So now the worry, yup, its a grade 4 and looks grubby, but straight, no lights.. so why the hell did this go so cheap when everything else is going above book, they are fairly good news normally... I must stop impulse buying. Just got to wait till it turns up smoking and limping into the car park, knocking like a tractor....

Nice 1!!!  Glad to hear some bargains still floating.

Hahaha done the similar thing last week with Bedford.

2009 Mini Cooper S Convertible 82k...  £2750, expecting a rattly pile of BUT I think I must have just caught it as we drove it back (100mile journey) and so far so good.  1 thing is the roof underlining is missing... I mean WTF, who wants that?

I trawl the buy it now lists and some of my biggest profits come out of these, can spend a bit more time researching the current market prices less up against the clock so to speak.

That profit on the Disco sport would be alright, I would probably take the rest of the day off if I made that

I always look at the BIN's but they're always done like that because they haven't sold in the hall. Makes me wonder why not and puts me off.

Bank hols either go one way or the other. Either the auctioneer will take any bid but most of the time every trader + extra private punters turn out & bid everything up.

Youre correct, Good Friday was one of the worst days at the block I’ve seen - pure shite making clean money.
