rich89 11 Posted November 2, 2017 Anyone else always dread getting a call from a customer they've recently sold a car to? My latest is a guy who bought an RS6 last week, thought he heard a weird noise from the rear brakes and took it to a specialist to check it out and they've found; Oil leak- common issue but was fixed by Audi last year. Corroded water pipes. intercooler leaking. These sort of calls should really make me stop selling these sort of cars. Bye bye profit...
Tom 164 Posted November 2, 2017 The words "hello I bought a car from you" on the phone is rarely good.

Trident 24 Posted November 2, 2017 I don't mind these calls so long as they follow the sentence with "hello, i bought a car from you" breath and a think "ooh over six months ago...."

BHM 994 Posted November 2, 2017 What does the self-appointed specialist call an oil leak & rusty pipes? You know what 50% of these boys are like, they prey on the minds of the pernickety but car-ignorant owner. A damp patch around a gasket & a little surface corrosion on pipes on a secondhand car doesn’t necessarily warrant attention. Brand new is available from the Audi main dealer, but there’s a reason why your buyer didn’t go there.

Nightmare when a customer goes to one of these places with a 5-10 yr old performance car. Had one the other week who told customer car needed full exhaust system on a VXR, due to minor surface corrosion. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it at all.
