Morning i have a vw polo 2011 dsg 1.4 petrol bought from auction. I have put a new engine in the car and clutch costing about £1600 and now the car runs like shit judders through the gears ,has had a full vw software update and now they are saying it might be the megatronic issue. can anyone help. and a zuto customer has backed a 2010 1.2 vw polo with a chain snapped chain need an engine. any ideas where to get an engine tried ASM no joy. £12,000 worth of vw shit just rotting in the yard. regards nic

Morning Gents Feels like blackmail to me , few times this year i have been receiving the old recorded letter soon as they come you know what they are. First one customer threatens me with the small claims court because his local mechanic is trying to get some cash out of him for a service etc. One yesterday trhottle body on a vw golf diesel is full of carbon so the customer wants £400 for a new one. I gave him a warranty with A1 aprroved and they told him to jog on. If I do not pay up he is taking me to trading standards small claim court etc. This is more and more common these days. Whats best to do get them back fix and move on ?? Your feedback would be great. Regards NIc

Have given 3 refunds in 10 days first one a 58 plate Mazda Mx5 done 37000 client complained of a damp spot on the carpets at the back of the seat. (Around the time of the recent storm) she would not leave my office for two hours. 54 plate Mini Cooper done 54,000 one owner from new kid left a holding deposit ,came back with his father amateur car dealer did not like the sound of the engine , really !!!!!! cheap Saab turbo was the next dumped its oil , fair enough gave, took that on the chin. you must deduct the mileage used if you have to take back the clients car and you can also charge them for Valeting the car. i used M I L S motor industry law society for one year they charged me over £2000 for a year subscription and would not recommend them the chap who owns the company harassed me to renew my yearly subscription and when I told him I did not see the value in his service he called me a idiot and put the phone down . i sell cheaper ticket items now up to £10,000 as anything over the market burn rate slows down considerably. its a really tough industry to be in the clients do not know the boundaries of when to call I have clients calling me all hours of the day where's the locking wheel nut my heated seats stoped working etc etc . contemplated just selling vans as the clients are so much easier to deal with.

Another Saturday not a sausage !!!!!!! least all the dealers i know have gone super quiet . Client on a Duke later so see what gives .

Started off with one everyday up to the 20th. Great start now dead as disco !!!!!!

On 17 at the moment two sold that have hanging around forever at the money they owed no calls today with 27 cars on the lot. Sundays are working out to be quite good for me. 8 down on last month .

Time wasters !! been doing this job now for 4 years doing 30 cars a month so going okay. Cannot get my head around time wasters. What is the quickest way to qualify the client without scaring them off. Cannot shake of that pissed of feeling when i get messed around for 2 hours. Many Thanks Nic
