  1. I remember once buying a total piece of shit Clio sport 172 from a mechanic who had fucked with it and it was in blackburn or burnley somewhere I dont buy car from anymore.

Anyway it had a rip in the seat.  Tom took the seat out, took it home and used fishing wire to stitch it back up. His hands were hurting for about 3 days

Moral of the story, pay a professional or get a second hand one cos that was a lot of pain for not a lot of gain

Bought one car this week, been bloody hard work again.

.....my spies tell me even fewer new cars being sold, less business being done = fewer pxs about = continuation of high stock prices.

....if we see another lockdown the prices are going to go double mental.

I have found it harder this week only managed 5 or 6 out of probably 60/70+ i've tried for.

  3. Get an Amex business card. You get points on it and if you only use it for fuel makes it a piece of piss to keep track of rather than shit tonnes of things coming through current account off the debit card.

I'm full of admiration. I'm a one man band and its hard enough sitting here with multiple windows open watching multiple halls in multiple auction sites. I'd rather sit and watch one auction with 70 cars on my list than watch a dozen different bloody halls. And don't get me started about clicking off to look at a cars details and the bloody thing freezing. Endless refreshing. Tech fail!:D

Use proxy bids as back up and use the tech to your advantage.

TV is right about buying enough. I just buy as many as I can that fit the stock profile on any given day.

BCA seam to be declaring major faults now, engine noisy/smoking, Clutch fault etc. Doesn’t seam to be putting buyers off though.

Watched a Jag XF last week declared as engine noisy, eml on and gearbox fault. Capping clean without faults at £3700. It sold for £3750, madness.

Can’t be a cap warrior in this day and age.

ive been online Only for a few years now, win many more than I lose.

  6. Probably going to sound like a twat here but if you can't make money out of selling cars in whats the most bouyant time ive experienced in 7 years theres no hope.

Can't stock them and sell them quick enough. Done well over 60 per month since may

  7. Anyone got any customers turning up actually wearing Masks?       Got loads just turning up without them.

If you have to wear one to go the co op, you can fucking wear one in here to buy a car or fuck off.    I didn't sleep much last night and grumpier than trade vet today  Ready to flip

It's odd isn't it. Because we are all with the automotive 'bubble' where its a case of 'no grafty, no payee' and, things seem relatively normal, once you step outside of this 'bubble' it's amazing just how many aren't working, just how many services have restrictions on them.

Hadn’t actually ever thought of that. Most of us are having it away but lots of other sectors have shut down.

just got home from barber shop and noticed everywhere was closed at ten didn’t see pubs, takeaways etc the usual stuff. He said it’s quiet for him, people working from home don’t go in for their usually weekly or 2 weekly cut as not seeing anyone, regular Friday night / Saturday night trim for a night out not coming as not going out it does affect a lot of places.

When I was signing up some roughish but friendly likely lad on chucky and you think he will never get accepted. Then you ask their occupation and they would say ‘scaffolder , steel erector ,I’m on the riggs or self employed Ready Mix Concrete driver you knew they would fly through.

Got a lot of money, in a van all week and want a nice car better customers than geography teachers.

boils my piss when some dealers hand a car over with the light on the red

We are pretty bad for it tbh. The guys that do pics / video / drive them back etc just never put any fuel in . Always find it a bit awkward when the fuel lights on.
