  1. The croma was an import and petrol but it really was a cracking car, drove beautiful!!
  2. Had a chevrolet Aveo, 09 plate, 60k.....looked like a £2995 car on the pitch, had it for months couldn't give it away!!!! in the end after about 3 months just let it go for £2k, my outlook on these sort of cars is they need to be really low mileage or priced extremely well to get a quick sale!!
  3. I had a fiat croma a few months back 2009 plate, 80k, £500 at Manheim, sold it 3 weeks later for £1800..... Couldn't believe it! I'd never even heard of the thing!! same story with a Kia magentis, only 17k on a 2006 plate miles and made about £800......I love the oddball stuff, theres millions of fiestas although anything like a Hyundai or chevrolet with more than 40k on the clock I seem to have hanging round for months!!! Boro paul I'm assuming your from middlesbrough, I'm an Acklam lad living in Sheffield! Hope it's going well up in the north East!
  4. Thanks for the feedback, the focus is not even turning over, when you you turn the key you get nothing from the engine, mechanic seems to think it's an imobileser problem!
  5. Bought a 2008 focus tdci estate 135k about 2 weeks ago, been running it myself just to make sure it was good to go, even took it from Sheffield to Chester twice in 2 days with no problems, anyhow on the way to my car pitch today a warning light came on saying loss of acceleration, I must admit the fuel was ready run out in 15 miles (half a tank in my eyes) so I thought this may have caused the problem to arise. Pulled into services filled it up with a tenner, everything back to normal, 5 mins later loss of acceleration, light comes on, then car conks out. Car won't start, the mechanic comes and tows me back to pitch. Just wondered if anybody else has had this problem? Thanks david
  6. What is it Umesh?.... vat? warranties? profit?....... Im still learning, although Im pretty sure Ill be still saying the same thing in 10 years time being in this game, ha!!!
  7. No probs chaps I will send the PDF tonight! Just putting the little one to bed
  8. Simon, I have been doing this job for nearly 2 years, I previously had no experience in selling cars, I started buying a couple of cars on gumtree and selling on from home with £2000 worth of stock, (I did have traders insurance and just told the customers that I was short on stock and the auction was too expensive for me, which was true, nobody seemed bothered) 2 years on ive got a car pitch that holds around 20 cars with a stock valuation of £30000. What I'm saying is if I can do it anyone can if they have the desire and passion, I didn't even know the difference between a clutch slipping and a gearbox grinding! I didn't have a clue what a smart repair was, but you learn as you go along and then once you start to get the swing of it you've got to pay vat, that was the killer for me but its motivated even me more. I know some people are worn down by this industry and I fully understand, I sold 5 cars last week and all of the buggers have come back for warranty work! That's the biggest stress for me, when your sat at home just getting cosy at 8pm and some nutter who bought a car 2 months ago is screaming at you because the clutch has gone and they want you to sort a tow truck NOW!!! Please give it a go, you only regret the things you don't do and if you want a really good PDF file that got me started from an experienced car dealer just put your email address on the thread and I'll send it over. Also I'd recommend reading a book napoleon hill called think and grow rich, it really helps me through the tough times and there's a lot!!!!!!!
