7 hours ago, Dealer said:I'd be interested to see who does and who doesnt use AT on here and stock levels and average sales for both.
I don’t use AT and haven’t done for 2 years, stocking up to 60 cars average price £10k. I have a click dealer website and use e bay, motors.co.uk, AA cars, exchange and mart, car gurus, and have a page in local rag, biggest spend is £1000 a month for SEO and PPC, one thing I have learnt since cancelling AT is that customers look everywhere, they live on the internet trawling all sites.... with that in mind I am not frightened of cancelling a site if it gets expensive or doesn’t work, find and fund was cancelled after 4 months and CarGurus sent me a letter last week with a 27% increase so I sent my cancellation back.. Without car dealers these sites cannot operate, but we can operate without these sites.

Was pretty obvious he would have grey hair (if any hair) dealing in Range Rovers.

Why are you entertaining him? you say there was huge demand for the car so do you need grief? tell him if he is unhappy with the car to get it back to you ASAP and you will refund him as you dont want unhappy customers,,,, then sell it again.

But dont these big clever highly paid people listen to the minnows who actually do the job,,,ok they listen but then do what they want,,,, I remember posting on here before it was launched that they cant just jump in and knock AT off their perch they need support off dealers and only real way to get support is gradually build the product not dive in and charge the same as number 2 in the market. I still think the concept is great and i would pay for it when it is established and giving proven results but i tried it and sold nothing for 3 months so unfortunately had to cancel it.

GB stickers look pretty sh1t on headlights ;-)))

Kia/Hyundai cracking reliable car, good seller and a dealer network that cant do enough for you, unlike the arrogant gin palace dwellers with the 3 pointed stars who treat you like sh1t, pity most kia/hyundais have ERAC on the V5, but that again speaks volumes about the brand.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but DVLA website will be down from 3pm Fri to Monday morning. Mad rush today to tax cars??

Have to disagree with comments saying bad colour combo, I’ve sold a few silver with red SLKs, and sold them well, but I wouldn’t be getting excited about the engine,, usually sell to women who are more bothered about running costs, so 200K are the more favourable from a retail point. If it was a nice car with good spec and history it’s £4500 to retail at £6-£6500 but remember it’s you that they are coming back to see when it goes wrong not your mate that you sell it for.

I am with AT on a 5+2 package, tempted but what am i likely to pay for EMP/GT for say 12?

I thought it was a joke everyone on here mentioning the shitter in the background so I had a look......I bet your ad views have tripled since you posted on here which goes to show that not all viewers are buyers they are just car dealers looking to see how not to photograph a car.

Usual is purchase invoice and bank statement showing transaction through your bank. Look at it from insurance company point of view, someone no insurance gets stuffed and tries to claim on his mates/brothers/uncles traders policy......

normally 6 flat, but has anyone noticed prime finance has dropped off a cliff lately? the days of £000,s a month chucky commision seem a distant past, not sure if its down to likes of zuto etc advertising with banners under our ads or what but punters seem to be sorted when they arrive now.
-
I mainly cover my own warranties and end up in pocket, but in all fairness to the warranty company what else can they do but go off autodata times, If you have done a dash out on a car the next one wont take as long but why should they pay for a garage learning a job? I built 3 sets of Ikea wardrobes.... 1st one took me 4 hours, 2nd one 2 hours and last was a piece of piss.... hence why some garages specialise in certain makes, you may pay more per hour but get job done in fraction of time.
-
Let them do whatever they want to do and move on, lifes too short for screamers and if you start off with them unsure about car they gonna live with u. better them reject now than have it 6 month n reject cus they feel clutch "isnt right" and say u knew problem was there when purchased.

Having looked at your site I would be willing to let you advertise my stock for a 12 month trial as long as my website provider was willing to feed your site, if after the 12 month trial I had any positive response then I would consider paying for any further advertising, obviously until then I wouldn’t pay anything but I am sure if all others on this site agreed similar terms you could have a reasonable start, it may take you many years to get noticed and cost tens of millions so unless you have serious backers tread with care.... but good luck

Average 25, As has been mentioned B4 what works for some won’t work for others, I think AT didn’t work for me because as anyone who knows us will tell you we are never going to be the cheapest, I buy the best spec/condition/pedigree and prepare them to death etc and that costs, therefore I could never be on page one, I don’t cater for bargain hunters but I will sell a good car and wipe customers arse after they have bought it.
