You can get a headlight restoration kit and it has everything you need to solve the problem. Don't know, maybe this won't necessarily be the most popular opinion, but I'm a big fan of Craftsman, I actually got one last year and I couldn't be an happier with it. https://popular.reviews/wet-dry-vacuum/#1_CRAFTSMAN_17595 I generally get my stuff from manufacturers that I've previously had contact with, and I had some other tools in the garage from this brand and was pleased with them. It's a 16-gallon model so I empty it only from time to time, and it pulls up anything without flinching.

If it's still under warranty, you should fix it. Unless you have actual proof that you didn't sell a faulty product, there's not much you can do, as I know of. It's best to fix it and maintain a good reputation rather than have the client trash talk you to others.

I clip on brackets over the number plate, find it to be the right option. As you said, the plates are clearly displayed like this, just seems like the best option.
