No rubbish now. Smell has already returned, yet with now a exotic cat smell tinge. Turned back to the Atom Machine from Euro Car Parts. Will update with how it gets on.

Need Good Key Programming Tool / Equipment
Earunder replied to Earunder's topic in General Dealer Chat
Thanks for all the responses, really appreciate them all! So I started searching around and it seems the vast majority of the key programming specialists use an AD100Pro as it has all licences separately and starts from £1,495. Then after speaking to a few of the suppliers in the industry found they would recommend to "upgrade" to a zed full or a smart pro which were £3,500 and included 3 months free unlimited "tokens" (normally £15 a pop). Booked in for demos on all 3 so I'll let you know how that goes. We've got a snap modis ultra but my guys said it can't do keyless entry and proximity keys, etc? I'll get on the phone to snap on, just in case they're not doing something right. Well we're charged £140+ VAT upward depending on make / model / key on keyless entry vehicles from our local key guy. Worked out we would be saving if we did 15.6 vehicles let alone advertising doing keys ourselves now. We average around 40 keys per year where customers request it as part of the sale ( Although sometimes we can do a 50/50 contribution on a new key with a customer. ) and get asked for roughly 20 or so per year. It's a £100 minimum saving per vehicle so I'm willing to make a considerable investment to reduce my overheads and from the prices I've been quoted thus far would see a ROI in the first year. -
Can anyone recommend any decent key programming tools / equipment / software. Must be for the vehicle below: Main vehicles we supply are:- RANGE ROVER JAGUAR FORD CITREON MERCEDES AUDI BMW JEEP PEUGEOT SEAT I've had a look around but all with different or various reviews so it's not been the most promising of searches.

You'll soon learn about AT... They don't give anything away, even if it's their F**k up. They give advertising platforms a bad name hahaha.
-
Haha yeah typical. Love to see my name branding is catching on haha
-
I've got plenty but I don't really want to post them here as it gives out "tips"

I think I jinxed it as I've had another 2 this morning / last night. Ebay... Again... I've got a budget of 4k, I really like the corsa that's up for 6,700, can we do something? - - Felt like saying, "Well I can continue to advertise my car like normal and you can look for a car within your budget." Hey mate, will you take £9,000 for your Golf R Line?... It's up for £12,700... This one I messaged back saying, "No problem you can put as little or as much down as a deposit."

PS - Walsall currently playing nice. I'm topped up now barring about 7k, so one more car. Thought I'd share now

It was in fact Ebay Motors. Interesting to know that the majority thought Facebook / Gumtree. I don't really get that many of the UWOTs from there.
-
Haha... Interesting that we all get these people on different platforms it seems. Suspense...
-
So 2 chances within 30 minutes of each other... We actually label these people as UWOT's now. (Ultimate Waste Of Time). I do take credit for that haha So first vehicle, Golf GTD Auto in white up for £15,500... Will you take £12k?... Action: Deleted 2nd Vehicle, R/R Disco Sport, up for £22,700... Will you take £18,500 cash?... Action: Deleted Gotta love these people, I get a smile every time as I just think they go round in their own little world never buying anything and thinking... Oooh I nearly had that. They probably haggle in Tesco saying they're paying cash so need a couple of pound off their Strongbow

Slowly but surely

Haha Yup, but just as a heads up take advantage of promotions such as Buy Now - Start Paying in 6 months, should help you squeeze an extra few over the line each month running upto Dec

This made me chuckle. I don't see the huge difference in this period (Aug-Sep) from the last many years I've been doing this. It's the period we're in. I mentioned before some may do extremely well as it will be the right car, the right price at the right time for the right buyer. We all have moments like that, it's a tremendous feeling. The only thing I've noticed that is different, is the amount of good quality stock available at the moment. That i turn has driven the prices up tremendously as we've all seen and the fact that there are some new "BIG" players in the used car market so they are no longer entering stock through the AH and are in turn reselling their own P/ex's as well as buying stock from the AH themselves. It will all settle down and it will all pick up, there is no need for a major panick or conspiracy theory about Brexit and the likes, it's just the way business goes. Take the Highs with the Lows. Of course in your spare time review prices, review pictures, review articles, adverts, etc... In my eyes, "Those that run a business and have spare time are not running a business correctly". Just my 2 cents

Airvidox - Can't remember the reps name but I think we paid about £12.50 If you want to try it out, you can get it on amazon @ https://www.amazon.co.uk/Car-Odour-Remover-Airvidox-Cigarette/dp/B076HBYDSD/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=airvidox&qid=1568814145&sr=8-1

I'm in the same boat at the moment. We used to use some kind of chemical burn, comes in a tin, you place it on the floor for about an hour and let the burning chemicals do their magic. I just can't for the life of me remember what the thing was called!! It was pretty good to. I'm going to have another look around today as we need some more so if I find it i'll post a link.

I've been pondering on the idea that BCA and Manheim stopped feeding data to CAP awhile ago now, which kinda makes sense.
-
It's amazing me where there's a profit at the prices they are making. Absolutely insane, literally insane, I'm actually mind boggled. Don't blame you. Gonna veto this week myself haha. ======================================= Actual UPDATE!!! Just got one!!! First one in like 10 days haha Wasn't on my list but a little cheapy, DS4 HDi Sport in white. I feel like a fisherman that's just hooked it's first marlin
-
Prices have started this week strong, not much making less than CC. Retail prices seem to have gone up mainly on the Ford Range (Edge's, Focus's) Not quite sure what's going on as it's never really gone on for this long before. I mean the AH's are so confident of getting silly money that they're starting the bid at more or less CC regardless of the grade, SH, owners, etc. Madness.
-
Haha I've done the same before, mine was a little bit more stupid confusing a Grade 3 with a Grade 5... Eyes playing tricks on me and me not double checking by viewing the report. VX Corsa Ltd Edt, every panel dented, interior solid, all exterior lights smashed and 1 mirror. Ended up a grand into it while paying around CAP average. Make maters worse, the bloody thing sat there for around a year too. End of the day we all make mistakes and as long as you can take stock with your own errors and laugh at yourself for being an absolute lemon then you're doing ok.

Price increases again! Only posted on Tuesday that we've had some decent price increases, was inevitable seeing as the AH's have been going insane lately, but only 2 days later I've had another shift of around 2-3% where my Great Prices turned to Low, Good Price turned to Great. Naturally updated the price back so another good price update for me. Also noticed not many on the LOW PRICE side of things now so I can only imagine the "Let's Play Cheapest Price Wins" brigade have finally caught on that you need to make money to pay your bills. Brilliant news, hope you're all "reaping" this period.

That's right, only a certain amount of buyers at any one point. No one ever shops in one place and that's the same as car buyers, don't let anyone tell you any different. Auto Trader may well be the "on the tongue" brand but stats are out there, available online that show you *CUSTOMERS also visit cargurus, ebay motors, aacars (theaa), parkers (provided by motors.co.uk, therac, etc. Some may tip that balls, but ask yourself this. When shopping for a holiday do you only visit British Airways / Virgin Atlantic or do you go to the holiday supermarkets, virgin holidays, TUI / First Choice etc? Of course you do and car buyers are no different. I down my advertising numbers with AT every year also, coming out completely in December and rejoining January. At just over 10k per month, December is too risky. November I tinker with numbers to usually half stock and let clickdealer auto rotate. Seems to be keeping the ROI reasonable the last few years. I wouldn't panick, as the majority of the time these months Aug-Sept tend to be quiet months anyway with the odd influx every now and then but that's more luck that you have the right car for sale at the right time etc. EDIT *
