  3. My mate ronnie has got these restrictions wrong ! He's giving fish n chips with every car sale because he thought he had to include a substantial meal, (i told him a scotch egg would have done plus his cars stink of fish ) :D

Hes applied for a bounce back loan, and bought a trampoline

During the lockdown he locked himself in

Latest thing customer said whats that underbonnet ? He's only gone and put a mask on air filter, well, jobs hard enough he says don't want me cars getting it ?

Hes not that daft though, I overheard him talking about his warranties,  don't need them he says, you can't go anywhere ;)

Merry Xmas ronnie, now listen, you really don't have to have your cars that far apart !

Eldest son is doing electronics at uni. He’s less driven than his younger brother who’s doing law but I suspect he’ll have more career options if he can make it to the end of the course.

I think, qualified, and with experience its a absolute licence to print money, customers AND garages can see the tread on a tyre, but they can't fathom electrics, wish I had done it years ago

  5. Its 48 hours, and when you mot a car, that has previously expired, it can take up to 3 hours, as the mot website is only updated every few hours, I found out recently when I came back from a mot and customer was waiting for me, he went straight up to tax it and showed as no mot, and refused tax, he went in again on my advice 2 hour later and it went through

    4 hours ago, poor-trader said:

Yep, just needs to be valid at time you tax it. Be careful that you're 100% sure it is roadworthy if selling it as such. Apart from making it easier to sell a new MOT covers a lot of potential liabilities.

    incorrect, sorry the valid bit:unsure:

    The other bits right :D

So unless you register your house as a B&B with dinner gong and a small bar,you could get fined 10 grand as a business !

    • What about the womans House in tier 3 but garden is in tier 2 ? She's built a conservatory on the garden, so when she goes to water the house plants in the conservatory  she's doing wrong :P
    • For a full list of reasons why she's doing wrong see corona gov.uk
    • See if you can make more sense of it than I can :D

  7. carzam is now "open" !

All the very best to Mr waddel, and his team, having watched the car dealer videos during the last  lockdown, I loved the way Mr waddel came across, (we are car dealers not bean counters) and his set up, some feedback to the website, just my opinion, photos, interiors of some cars are still showing damp on seats, yes l know that some material when gone over with valeter piles goes in a different direction, and looks damp, but some I spotted that they were cloth and damp, love the service history view, maybe a little more detail when carzam do the final check with a link to the pre purchase check ?

The turntable view, might be my computer, but car goes round that fast I thought it was going to fly off :P

Online, is the future ? I have to buy mine online, but my customers won't buy off me online ( every business  is different) whats not helping is police on the tier 2 border stopping cars, making checks and misusing anpr cameras, and big coverage of this on tv news and online editorial but that's a different story for a newer thread.

    all the best :)

  8. Thinking of working for someone else, applied at citroen they wanted 2cvs.

But I am quite good at making sausages, that could be a little business idea, online, send us a pm I'll  send you a link.

Bloke next door is quite successful, he runs a puncture service, just bought a lovely big house, he started from a little flat.

I don't know, it's so quiet round here, paper shop has folded, tv aerial fitters have called in the receivers, watch menders have called it time, locksmiths are doing ok though, key workers i guess.

Anyway just thought I would give you something to smile about, I knew this corona virus would end up in tiers.

Asked in boots other week, is there a cure for this corona virus this woman said "ammonia cleaner " sorry love I said, I thought you were a chemist.

Let me know if your lonely and spending Xmas alone, I need some  chairs

Now go sell some cars :P.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m on the understanding that all car dealers should be closed except for click and collect?

On a drive around town today every local trader to me seamed to be still open as usual, customers wandering around the pitch, tailgates up etc.

Do you know what, if the business is of the opinion that they can open, not read the warnings etc then who in there right mind would do business  with them ?

If they can't get the basic government guidance right, what exactly are they selling in regards to safety ? This is a couldn't care attitude ? Same with pdi ?

Hoping to hoover up other closed car dealerships sales ? SCABS !

Yes lakeside, should be closed non essential retail, only click collect.

And the customers Sat in these cars with there bollocks hanging out there shorts deserve everything they get !

Trouble is they're probably younger than me and get preferential treatment at hospital :(

    1 hour ago, A & S said:

Definitely shouldn't be inviting customers to your showroom/forecourt. Surely with tailgates open they are doing exactly that. We have offered click and collect to 4 customers today, they didn't want to know, they want to view and test drive.

Can't educate pork mate, let them go forth :)

  11. Women, know your place ! :D

Seriously though had the same messers last week  messages to and fro etc, what they forget, and I know, is time is money, and I bet you were going in earlier, quick vac out, run up for five minutes, floormats shaken out, etc, your not alone :)
