1 pointNo, I’ve never used a smart repair man in my life, just a one man band but he does all sorts - plenty of decent stuff passes through his booth. My original painter retired last year, he was as cheap as chips but even Stevie Wonder could tell where he’d been.

1 pointThe only true measure is a free market, ie no-reserve bidding. Bid rigging is simply an underhand way to run a reserve auction, which is not a free market. Whether its illegal or not, I don't know, but I do know "the wall" has bought a lot of cars!!!

1 pointWhy doesnt the op just buy grade 5 stuff at any of the big players loads of it around, and so i am told far better prices than copart as the weekend warrior stays clear of auctions, again this is third hand have no experience in this market. I cant get my painter to do a simple bumper blow in at a decent time frame so would be of no use to me,
