I have a pal who works with money (all legit - fund manager stuff), he told me in the mid 90's he likes money, therefore he works with it.. He has been good at that.. very good at that! Me? I did what i enjoyed too, but it was earning money, now I'm making money.. it aint on anything like the scale but its nice to make it rather than earn it..... I'd say the internet is your friend these days for most things; even making money!

Seeing as it’s soooo quiet everywhere, get on to YouTube and search for Project Binky!! Nick and Richard run an Engineering Company called Bad Obsession Motorsport in Shropshire, and are engineering geniuses! Project Binky is going to be the fastest Mini in the world!! They are putting the engine and 4wd drive system from a Celica GT4 into 1980’s Mini !! There’s 19 episodes and they’re still not finished, but if you’re interested in projects, this is a must watch!

Travel aside if workload and money are stressful then it's worth giving it the serious consideration you are. I reckon I spend 70% of my working day behind a laptop and doing admin...there's a high workload away from the car side of things and always something waiting to catch you out. That said, there is nothing like working for yourself. Whether it's knocking out used metal or something completely different it's much more satisfying being in control (to an extent) of how you run your show. I used to suffer a lot of stress as an employee, mostly borne from incompetent management and a a lack of control of my role. That's all gone now (only to be replaced by other stresses)! Best of luck if you do jump in and have a good read through the forum, wealth of advice on here from these chaps.
