Hi all, We currently run our own warranty by just indicating on the invoice what is covered which probably isn't the best thing to do. I have heard lots of praise about the Lawgistics warranty booklets which makes everything look abit more professional and will be great for up sale. Now the people who use it - how many months/mileage do you give? what claim limit do you set? and what do you sale it for? Just curious to know what other people charge for there 'own' warranty packages whether its Lawgistics or someone different. Thanks

The emissions don't have to be out for an EML light relating to a faulty or out of value reading from an O2 sensor. I'd check to see if the sensors are branded, or if they're white box shite from China via Euro car parts. We've seen plenty of vehicles in with faulty lambda sensors (and other sensorts for that matter, MAP sensors being a popular one on the pugs) with seemingly 'new' sensors on them, but they're cheap and nasty and work for about a week.

No problem being nosey OCS! We're always full at the current site averaging 45 vehicles in stock. The new site will hold 60 and is 3 minutes down the road which is a big factor in deciding to take it on. It's been our only real competitor for normal family bread and butter stock within 15 miles but they're at retirement age so we figured taking it on would stop someone else coming in and making our lives more difficult. Also given that we're in the South East, sooner or later, one of the two sites will be developed into flats most likely so it gives us a bit of land security for now

Sorry my statement has raised your temperature and forgive me for being presumptuous BUT I guess running your own warranties did NOT work out for you. If so your statement 'That's total b*ll*cks' is incorrect... I said, "once you have run your own warranties successfully you will never go back to insurance warranties".

I have been battling auto traders belligerent team for weeks, telling them that sponsored adverts are killing my response from my dealer portal. there response was simple, it is your stock etc, even managed to sign me up to a higher level package, still no more phone calls, my cars that used to sit on page 1/2 are kicked to page 8/9. I finally bit the bullet and gave my notice for cancellation, will use my 4k a month from this saving and use alternative methods, I know that they are a premium site but this is going too far, they want me to pay extra 3k for sponsored adverts, I already pay them more then I pay my landlord. I hope that a few more traders join me and give notice for cancellation. Let them make a business decision, do they want big boys (car super markets and main dealers) only or bulk of there trade small to medium dealers
