WE do what the public do to us, scan the classified adverts both papers and online, watch when the cars start to reduce in price you see a weak point and you pounce, call them, ask if they have had it for sale for a while or not etc etc, agree that's a tough market, but we are just topping up stock and may manage to strike a deal at the right price which would benefit us both !! Bought 3 privates from online adverts locally and saved a total of £5000 yes £5000 of their advertised prices! The car dealer bites back :-)

yep totally free trail and for the money it offers pretty good value for money. Only downside is you get the odd eBay loony who will bid you £2500 for a £5000 car but these are easily dealt with.

Ebay offers excellent value for money to list up to 25 cars i think is around £150 per month. You will definitely sell cars from ebay not as many as Autotrader but when you compare price...no brainer.

This must only be for assured cars it will not be every car. I feel recently certainly over the last 12 months a lot of the auctions are really trying to boost the online buying experience. Manheim assured cars now come with a 3 day guarantee for the parts their check covers. This includes you having taken the car away auction. The only thing I find off putting with some auctions assured schemes is the quality of the person conducting the check. They are not mechanics and the individual checking can be as qualified as 'Keiran' my valeter. Over the next 12 Months I think SMA and BCA will improve their grading system and things are all going to be geared up towards enhancing the online buying experience as a whole.

I don't buy plaything from Auctions ! BUT that's pure madness - if ALL the dealers stopped buying on line the system would collapse , surely you MUST have better guarantee's than just around the 'yard !' surely the idea of buying on line is to save people time, you get vehicle transported / collected and there's comeback when it arrives to your business ! So glad I don't play Russian roulette with the system !

Impressive. As has been said, any chance of a link? I already follow Jim and Umesh and whilst I'm impressed with what they do I have my doubts that it would work with the more bread and butter stock. I mean, would sweeping sexy camera shots and 0-60 in Renault Grand Scenic really cut the mustard? Anyway, I'm going to order FBFTF next this weekend and I might even see if Uncle Jim can spare me a few minutes next week.
