Vw golf adaptive cruise control

Hi all, picked up a mk7 vw golf gt tdi on a 14 plate and is showing adaptive cruise control deactivated when starting the car and doesn't seem to work. Anybody had this issue?

Does the sensor in the bumper look like it has been knocked ?

Yes , unfortunately , it prob needs recalibrating .Pricey at a main agent but it does need proper Vagcom to set up so if you've got a good independent local that's your best bet .

Safe to say I'll not be buying another one soon !

Yes it does look a bit slanted

Needs to go on either Vag Com or ODIS and see what the trouble codes are for.

 

A simple removal of the bumper is enough to get the radars out of line.

 

Speak to a local bodyshop that does insurance work, supposedly there is a mobile guy near us that looks after all of the local bodyshops.
