I had one not to long back with huge long message about how much the car is worth and how much I should trade it to him for... DELETE

I had a trader ring me on a car we just bought, he had missed the auction and wanted me to accept a £400 drink on a £10k car. When I told him no it's hard enough to find good stock, he then went on to tell me how amazing it feels to have a car sold overnight, doesn't feel amazing at £400 I told him. Sold it a week later full price with a lovely PX.

I once received a daft offer (by text of course) and my reply was:

Please come take it I need the cash...my address is:

House name - c0ck house

Wanker Lane, Wake-up-Town, Get-A-Life County

Postcode N0 8BB

And his reply was "hehe nice one mate"

Bits of the engine were left off during a fix. The car was in the way so was pushed out of the way. One of the technicians didn’t know or forgot or is thick and needed to move the car back out of his way, so he started it. The combustion chamber decided it didn’t like life anymore and made a run for its freedom and there you have it. Shit happens!

What a muppet...who's covering that? The garage or your insurance?

Hahaha! I'm loving everyone's imagination in this. Who knew car traders were so creative?

I had one I've not heard before today. I've got a modern classic ad on eBay and someone messages to say would you sell me the badge off it!!! It's an immaculate example with low miles. It's been around a while but perhaps thats the answer with slow sellers, sell them bit by bit.

Had a Corsa VXR up at £6999. Would I sell the rear spoiler?

Of course I will. It’s £6999 and I’ll throw in the rest of the car.

Wtf did they expect me to do with a Corsa without a rear spoiler??

Dealer to Dealer etiquette.....is that not an example of an oxymoron. We do not exactly operate like the medical or legal profession.I still get people calling me asking ‘have you heard any gossip’.

Suggest you'd offer as P'ex against one of his more expensive cars, but you too are struggling for cash so can only offer 20% lower than asking price on it?

One of the delights of running your own show is you can tell customers to do one. Politely or Impolitely is your choice.
