Anyone at BCA Nottingham tomorrow?

Recommended Posts

Or even planning on bidding on the BMW Top Car lots?

i have a viewing on a car tomorrow between 9 and 11 and the auction starts at 10 and I don’t like leaving proxy bids as I am willing to pay well over cap clean on this and I think i’ll potentially get trotted up.

Beer tokens in exchange obviously...

No, everything in the sale was making 10%+ Over cap clean. Silly stuff.

We usually attend The Nottingham BMW sale and the Perry Barr one, however we went to Perry Barr last week the prices were off the scale, mini's fetching daft money, scruffy cars needing £££ spending. First time in a long time we've waled away without buying a car! Then we always have the Nottingham sale as back up,as its the weeks after and its on my doorstep and they sell the more leggy stuff that we like so we don't get the Franchised dealers bidding - After scouring the catalogue, scratching my head, I didn't even bother going today as most of the Mini's looked like scrap.

I think BCA are spreading their wings with the BMW / MINI Auctions and now having 2/3 a week all over the country, rather than what used to be the staple 5 a month at Brighouse, Blackbushe, Bridgwater, Perry Barr and Nottingham.

We've still picked up a few from BCA this week, but all having the odd Mini mixed in with the rest, Johnsons ,Bristol Street and Porsche etc...

Prices are on the up for sure

Even at the lower end prices are strong. 12yr old run of the mill shite with no MOT that if a punter brought to me as a p/x I’d bid him £100-200 seems to be making £500. Currently I can’t buy miley 07-09 CRVs cos they’re making £4-500 more than 2 months ago.

Unfortunately the general public don’t realise this and just want everything cheap.

There are definitely bits going through at decent prices. Luck of the draw I think, how many want it, who’s there at the time etc

if you specialise then you can see first hand that stock that sells well has risen fast in price this year

odd ball stuff will always be cheaper because its going to be a long haul punt so you need two rashers of bacon out of it at pos
